Will set the record for largest margin of victory, which is appropriate considering the other records he has broken or will break.

There’s no reason to even invite anyone else at this point

But this board has been trying to convince me that Burrow is going to miss out on the Heisman because everybody hates LSU.

Here is the thing.

A) Joe will get most of the 1st place votes

B) Even when he doesn't he absolutely will be 2nd on those ballots. But the other people will be all over the place of 2 - 4

Unless Joe does something to lose the majority of 1st place votes there is 0 chance he does not win.

I hope so, but it's no easy task. Troy Smith has the modern record with 86% of first place votes and 91.6% of possible points.

Without having some kind of extreme bias, how can someone not put him first? Whenever he has had a game that doesn't appear to be phenomenal, you look at the stat sheet after and he has 350+ yards and 3 TDs. I don't expect anything less than that going forward. Just don't see how any person can consider themselves a legit Heisman voter and not put him first.

Might also set the record for most 1st place votes. That would be amazing because OJ Simpson holds the current record with 855 first place votes, in a year (1968) where they had almost 1100 voters... A few votes under 900 this year. It will be pretty close to unanimous.

1998 Ricky Williams, Texas 1,563 point margin

That would be quite a feat I think there were in the neighborhood of 1179 voters in 68 when OJ had 855 first place votes.

This year there are 929 votes. The highest percentage for getting votes (1st, 2nd, or 3rd) on a ballot is 2014 Marcus Mariota 95.16% of 929 possible ballots or 884 ballots. How many homer type voters will either leave him off their Ballot or put him 2nd or 3rd?

Breaking the record for first place votes received or the percentage of ballots appeared on will be at least as impressive as the margin of victory IMO.

How many Ohio State Heisman winners are there? He'll probably lose about half of those votes. The rest will go to Joe. He'll beat even beat out OJ.
