re: Update on Joe Burrow visit

I'm pessimistic about our chances with O in charge, but I hope they can land this kid, and he's all he's made out to be. Nothing cures negativity better than an honest to goodness run at a title (could be SEC, to clarify).
Will say, this is a risky move on O's part. Out of state family (in Cincy, no less) say there's chatter on media about the potential move. LSU would seem a very desirable landing spot for a good QB in search of a team to lead; start out ranked and known. Plenty of marquee matchups on the schedule to prove himself against. Several recent successful transfers at the position, proving that it can be done. And we don't seem to be competing with another program "on our level"... or at the level we presume LSU to be on.
Now, it further comes out that Dad has legit NCAA coaching experience, and should be a good judge of how viable a program we really are.
If this DOESN'T happen, it could make things extremely hot for O. No matter what the stated reasons for turning us down would be, the assumption will be that Dad came, took the measure of the program, and said "nope, that's a mess, not an opportunity. Go elsewhere, even if it's not a Power 5 school".

Whitefoot’s right. It’s not like a vpn is some magic hacker thing. Many companies use it for network security.
It’s as simple as clicking connect and typing in a password once it’s set up. If I am working remotely I have to use a vpn. Not to mention pinpointing a computer isn’t exactly an exact science.
Bottom line is there’s no way to know, and whitefoot shouldn’t be getting downvotes.

Show me one where you connect with Ohio though.
I have used VPNs and never was able to pick Ohio..
Of course it's possible, but not likely. Even if you are paying, usually you select from a few very large locations.. I am not sure Ohio would make the list.. Most companies have several locations though. I would like to see where Ohio is an option.

Almost any business with a VPN server in Ohio will show up as an Ohio ip address. You don't understand what I'm suggesting, so let's just drop it.

For example here is a list of PureVPN servers to choose from..
None are in Ohio.
Pure VPN? You have zero clue what I'm talking about.
Take it to the tech board and I'll explain further. But this is way off topic here.

Can you imagine the juice of running out of the Tiger Stadium tunnel onto the field to face Bama? Playing in the Swamp or Jordan Hare? Playing fricking Miami in Jerry World? I just can’t imagine anybody who’s competitive enough to succeed in the NFL wouldn’t get hard just thinking about that.

No one with any cfb knowledge is gonna think our program is a mess. We are not a mess nor are we a clusterfrick. We have quite a bit of talent on this year's team and it is spread out across the lines and on both sides of the ball.
I do not know what that kid will choose, but if it is not LSU, it won't be because we are messed-up or some kind of disaster waiting to happen.

Not gonna happen. Too many clicks, too much $.
Though I wonder how many posters the idiots drive off with their drivel and pessimism.

One of them is the guy who first told me about TD.com back in 2005. He hasn't posted for more than 5 years. He works in the administration at LSU and he used to have some very good insight about happenings on campus which he would sometimes share with the board. Now? Nada.

You are one sour, sorry POS. EVERYTHING you post is stupid and as negative as it can be. Last years recruiting class was pretty good but you have already decided on your own it was a disaster. Now you have popped off again about "the binder". You seem obsessed with this as you have mentioned it numerous times.
Why dont you pull for another team that is if you are in fact an LSU fan. I question you being an LSU fan simply based on your constant bashing of all things LSU.

I agree that the repeated references to "the binder" are stupid, cheap and completely lacking of any original thought. All intelligent posters grow tired of such fifth grade attempts. Likewise, every post for years that has mentioned "Fire Javi" or "Miles has lost control of" or "It will never be ready in time" is the product of an unproductive, undeveloped mind with no original thought or sense of humor. Just too many immature posters with less than average intelligence. The board is overrun with them.

There is no VPN and I am not in LA.
I stated before my source is a former player. He played under Woody and Earle. Former players hear and know a lot of things. They have access to other coaches around Ohio and also to current players, some of which are close friends of Joe.
That stated, naturally Luke will offer Joe the kitchen sink, he is good friends with Joe and his dad.
That means for that to change, someone has to do the same or come pretty close.
Joe and his dad both need convincing. You don't realize how much Joes dad has been involved in Joes career.
This is simple, no other school so far has done that, LSU is trying and has a better shot than anyone. It has gone good so far but cross your fingers because it is not only Joes decision but
a family (dad) decision.
There are many of us who believe Urban never gave Joe his shot. We want him to go to a D1 school like LSU and show what he has.
Since this is a free board I hoped those here would appreciate what a former player knows.
We all hope Joe commits to LSU. Good luck. If you convince Joe and his dad and get him, you are getting a great QB who would be a perfect fit.

From all you say, Joe's dad is beginning to sound a lot like Shea Patterson's dad. That's not a good thing.
