Statement:
Attorney Ryan Downton of TexasTrialGroup, which is working with multiple athletes in Louisiana lawsuit, tells On3: “The SEC’s actions put the NCAA in contempt of multiple court orders. It is cartel-like conduct when NCAA conferences attempt to create their own spur of the moment rules in response to Courts enjoining those same rules at the NCAA level.”

Interesting strategy by the defense team here! Lump them together and see what happens

LSU was never involved from the start. This has always been about the players filing suit. They can do what they want to do. Who is the OP??

LSU won’t, but the players will.

I'm ready to move on. Unfortunately this sport is somewhat dependent on the judgement of other ADs and coaches when it comes to the selection committee. I would hate to have LSU is a position where that could come back to bite them.

The school yes, but they can't control what the players will try to do.

The school as a league member has a mandate. The players don't and they are the parties being harmed (if the courts interpret that the players are entitled a 5th year). Crazy.

So are they still going for the injunction on the 31st? What happens if they win that?

I wish I could tell you. What I think happens is the SEC gets to keep their rule, but it doesn’t apply to these specific players who declared before they were granted another year of eligibility.

So let me get this straight. It seems like the only reason they cant play is because they singed contracts…which they wouldnt have done if they knew they had another year coming. Meanwhile these other players coming back did the exact same thing except sigh the contract lol WHAT A JOKE!!

If this was saban would things be different

This is strictly a rule specifically against lane and lsu….the others don’t care cause they can’t sign these guys

All a bunch of bullshite run by a cult….seems LSU brass have no fight

Agree on both counts.

This is a minor setback for football. It hurts basketball much more, but if I'm being honest, I never really liked the Luis situation. It's completely different, IMO, from the 5-for-5 situation.
