Verge is not connected to O. He’s in the AD. Not sure what you’re talking about.

One would have to be of the opinion Verge didnt tell the players head coach about the incident

Possible I suppose, but not likely

Oh I don’t absolve football in the slightest. But the more that comes out about Sell, the more culpability she appears to have.

the biggest public red flag so far was Jade coming out publicly against Sell after Sell denied knowing about the issues with Davis. she was quiet before that happened and now that she is public most of the girls are coming out of the woodwork and offering witness statements or new allegations. sell saying she didnt know was stupid, coaches are control freaks, of course she knew what was going on

You really believe this?

You don't think verge and O speak to each other? You don't think they meet?

You need to chill.

By and large Julie Sells seems fricked.

However the Verge and Joseph stuff is not as bad as people act like it is. We’re talking knowledge months before Davis was suspended not years. Joseph went to a Title IX hearing over the summer.

There were also issues with the Achools Title IX department. And they are not limited to football players. Even the USA Today article said that. It’s also not unique to LSU.

Further, of the 9 players they addressed 6 either left the school quickly or were indefinitely suspended. 1 was cleared by Police who found his accuser to not be credible (Phillips). The Delpit allegations are out there but he had denied them. And then there is Guice which is a shite show.

Compare that to Baylor where the head coach was talking to police about covering up rapes and the allegations are in the 50s. Also they still haven’t passed a ruling on Baylor.

Davis happened under Os watch. O deserves to be fired.

But Davis was punished by O and eventually kicked off the team when all this happened. I know people want him fired but just throwing stuff at the wall to get him fired for cause is going to end up in a lawsuit that will cost more than his buyout.

Not suspending a player the second he is accused of something isn’t a lack of institutional control.

It’s not a great PR look, but we were actively impeding the investigation or process.

Also remember: Davis didn’t tell any of the AD that he was beating his girlfriend. He told them she attacked him and he hit her. Again, not great, but it’s a far cry from: the football team let this kid beat up his girlfriend.

MF this ^^^

Unless there is some sort of smoking gun that shows that O directly knew about this and covered it up ( which may be true but certainly has not been said yet), then I have a hard time thinking he is getting fired for cause. Yes, Sell could get canned, but even in her case the Title IX stuff is her word against the player. She certainly could go over the "toxic environment" stuff but everyone making out like this is similar to the Baylor program is FOS. In every case the football program suspended the player from the team and then dismissed them if the charges were proven true. What else can you ask?

A true piece of trash.

We'll, she's a Florida Gator grad, so what do you expect? Her husband, the other coach, is a UGA grad. Sounds like they were having quite the cocktail party.

I wouldn’t expect these coaches to incriminate themselves right out the gate honestly.

Wouldn't the NCAA have enough to actually issue a Notice of Allegation against basketball first?

If they buried reports of sexual abuse by football players against female athletes, they are all gone. Even if Orgeron heard rumors about it, but blew it off, he's gone. I personally believe that Woodward already has the pieces to run Orgeron off, but is waiting for the Independent Report.

The only reason Sell probably still has a job is the same reason a lot of scummy people have jobs/won’t or can’t lose them no matter how poorly their results are.

They have dirt on other people and have threatened to take everyone down with them.

If he has the info to run him off, he’ll do so before January. You can’t wait until the end of February or first of March and try to get a new HC
