I would be happy with a W like we had against Tennessee last year. 14-0 is all that matters.

this is like james wright or armand williams giving an interview.
gibson is a scrub who has done nothing and will do nothing in his career at bama.

So I guess those 7 points from the one yard line at halftime weren't "left off the board" for lsu right? Or the fact that ford stepped out on his own at the 3 in OT weren't "left off the board". I wonder what excuses we would be hearing if those touchdowns had been scored

They are idiots, i can promise them that which ever team has the most points on the scoreboard at the end of the game will have the crystal ball. NOT THE TEAM THAT LEAVES THE MOST POINTS ON THE FIELD

If Bama believes this line, they are going to lose badly on January 9th. The one advantage a loser has in a rematch is the motivation to get better and show the first game was a fluke. Instead of getting better, Bama is trying to rationalize that they didn't really lose. Quotes like this warm the cockles of my heart.

All they do is beat themselves. They are now the official masturbating champions of the SEC.

Good thing none of our players dropped a touchdown pass or threw back-to-back interceptions to keep them in the game...oh wait. Nevermind.

I think Oklahoma State and Boise State are saying the same thing in there only losses. Missing a chip shop field goal would have put them in the title game.

quote:exactly. No one talks about this tho. Bama is the only team that can "beat themselves" and use that as a valid argument because they are the best team to ever step on the field

LSU didn't beat us, we beat ourselves
Yeah, RR dropped a TD pass, then Ware dives the middle instead of stepping left for an easy tD
Ford steps out of bounds
Shep falls down on late pass
We threw 2 stupid pics...
LSU hurt themselves also
plus we played with a QB that had not played all year long... do they think JJ is going to play poorly?
Do they think JL is going to play poorly?
Do they believe AJ is capable of beating LSU with his decision making?
LSU is going to man up on Alabama.. this go around
going to be more 3 and outs for hte Tide this game

I'm not the biggest JJ fan but the guy shows up in bowl games.
Chick Fil A bowl 12/31/2008
Passing Cmp-Att-Int Yds TD Long Sack
Jo. Jefferson 25-16-0 142 1 25 2
Capitol One bowl 1/1/2010
Jo. Jefferson 13-24-1 202 1 39 2
Cotton Bowl 1/7/2011
Jo. Jefferson 10-19-1 158 3 42 2
Stats like this will be fine by me.

Bama had more offensive yards than LSU. And, that's all that matters. Well, that and the fact that Bama totally dominated LSU by letting us have more rushing yads than them.
Yep, and option plays no longer count as real rushing yards, so actually Bama outrushed us too.
