seahawks & broncos are in states that allow smoking weed , but that does not mean that the nfl allows it or for that fact the teams.

Where did you read this bullshite? Teams don't even begin negotiating with draft picks until after their first rookie camp or OTA's and for 3rd round picks it may not be until June at the earliest. Besides, Arizona doesn't need to protect itself by not guaranteeing money. They can void the contract if TM7 violates a personal conduct clause in the contract.

TM7 is lucky he got this contract. I hope he proves everyone wrong for his sake. I know the kid is a baller!

Mathieu threw all of his leverage away by flunking all those drug tests at LSU.

Some people have to learn the hard way.

TM's agent was just on 104.5 and said the rumors are false. There is no contract yet

Arizona used a 3rd round pick to select him. If they don't give him a fair contract and he doesn't sign it, they wasted a 3rd round pick. No way they let that happen. He may get a smaller signing bonus but they will have to backload it to balance the contract out where he will be slotted. He can also refuse to sign for more than 3 years too. He HAS leverage.

If he and his agent agree they are idiots.

They may not have a choice, I doubt any other team would offer anything different.

i lost heart w/ the draft party. tm has not changed. he wants to party w/ his boyz.

i'm afraid that tm will get pp in trouble.
pp is a great football player, he is not a drug/alcohol counselor.

i pray he gets clean and sober, but he has to be in recovery EVERY DAY. if he hasn't done it by now, it will take an act of god.

Ummm.... I thought the NFLPA had a CBA that mandated a league wide minimum guaranteed salary.

i thought the same thing so i looked up details about NFL contracts. Apparently even the so called "guaranteed money" is conditional mainly upon the player actually playing. The only money that a team must pay a player is the signing bonus.

Nor should he. This is a huge chance for TM. If he fricks up again, no paycheck and nobody to blame but himself.

Everything I'm reading says he will not sign a contract with no guaranteed money. Why would he? And why do people keep acting like this is the first time a player is coming in to the league with baggage and drug problems?

Do you guys think he gets a bunch of NFL chances, or he gets one strike and he is gone?

TM7 will get a signing bonus or he will not sign the deal. his pay will then be week to week based on passing random drug tests. he will also have performance and drug testing incentive pay. his agent will not allow it otherwise.
