Coach O needed to make splash hires.

He failed.

Hired rookies.

They are learning on the job at LSU.

Sad. But the rookies bring nothing to the table.

Apparently our LB coach is terrible also. They looked just as lost as last year..

It’s too early to tell. Neither have called plays before. They’ll get better as they go hopefully. It’s your dumbass head coach’s fault for hiring two coordinators with no experience in such a pivotal season.

I was actually excited for Peetz. I didn’t have high hopes for Daronte

When your HC is a laughing stock in the coaching profession you aren't going to get top notch coordinators to work under him.

Peetz wasn’t terrible. I really don’t see what you can call with that O-line

I’m in the minority but I didn’t think max was that bad either. He made that one retard play plus the pic. He made a few passes that I’m confident would have been sacks with most qbs. I’m not writing him or the offense off yet but we are gonna be like a one legged man in an asskicking contest with no offensive line.

LBs lack eye discipline...just like last year. Stingley and Ricks were barely challenged. The slot and TE killed us. The TE was running free on every 3rd down play. Not-to-mention, the run D was weak as hell. Either UCLA was good, or we have a lonnnng season ahead.

You call plays and scheme to help negate a bad O-line. I didn’t see any of that last night.

Yea, it wasn’t scheme that caused what we saw yesterday, it was players being terrible. LBs are just awful, they aren’t good enough to put a full game of solid play together and the defense is soft personnel wise. There’s nothing a DC can call to make Strong not blow coverage after coverage on the same play. There’s no defense to call that’ll force Clarke and Stingley to tackle properly. On offense the playcalling should’ve been more diverse but the QB had more than enough chances against what UCLA was doing and he just couldn’t deliver. Jones was fine, Peetz maybe a B- but the players in some positions gave D to F performances.

You go out and hire proven coordinators with skins on the wall.

These guys are rookies.

Yes, rookies develop, but there is a huge learning curve.

LSU should never be the school for on-the-job training. That’s why we pay the big bucks.

Coach O screwed up, and will go down with these rookies.

Ogre was unemployed several years ago. Now he won the powerball because Miles gave him a break. The guy dumped his old lady, got tens of millions and is laughing all the way to the bank.
