For years I would not drive the 10 or so miles to the Tulane game in New Orleans. Then I looked at the way LSU priced the Bama or Florida football games or the Kentucky basketball game & what the hell, it looks like the Greenies just copied what we were doing. At least 60% of the crowd is LSU & for the most part, the Greenie fans are old guys who don't give you too much %^&* & are usually fun to be with. Wish they had a better team, but they have been beating us pretty good, so I hope they don't get too much better.

You do know Tulane fans have to pay the same amount for tickets. I don’t know why they are required to do LSU fans a favor for tickets, it’s their home game.

I agree with that.

I’ll pay the $25 at Zephyr for charity.

Agreed. Tulane is loaded for the future while LSU is recruiting at a marginal level. Thank God they're letting us off the hook for a few years. Tulane baseball has long been the state's best program and that's not changing anytime soon.

Yeah, great idea, waste an away weekend series on a school that's within driving distance.

Don't forget they are an RPI killer too. We really don't benefit playing them anymore

This decision comes after Tulane chose to air the second 2018 game in New Orleans only on its subscription-based streaming service instead of on television.

Good. I was complaining about this on this board at the time. Tulane fixed it so that LSU fans not only couldn't get tickets to the game, they couldn't watch it on TV either. The only purpose that game served was to allow Tulane to make money. Why should we participate in that?

When is the last time the weenies went to Omaha, let alone played for the NC? When is the last time they won their conference? When is the last time they did not make the playoffs? As for recruiting, you obviously have no clue whatsoever. When is the last time they finished in the top 20, let alone top 10? Where did LSU's most recent class finish? etc etc etc.

You don't think Bama doesn't do the same for Auburn or Tennessee?

Sarcasm aimed at the "we haven't been able to beat them" posters. It's always funny to see how protective "LSU fans" on this board are of other schools and yet they're so quick to ridicule their favorite school. Just off the top of my head I'd say we usually split the midweek games against Tulane. Largely bc we've traditionally played them like midweek games while they've seen it more as a big game. And as far as games that really count when have they beaten us? 2001. That's it.

Tulane baseball has been nationally irrelevant even in their best year. They won one game in Omaha I believe.

LSU owes Tulane and the other instate schools nothing. They want to screw us over then cut them off. See how they do on their own

Every one of them, in baseball, probably makes more from playing LSU once at their place than they make from the rest of the home games combined lol but Tulane wanted to pull that shite with their subscription stream so frick em. Hope their greed was worth it lmao. good for Mainieri telling them to frick off. Steal their best recruit and now hit them financially. Love it

LSU should play Tulane in baseball. Makes no sense not to play the Wave every tear.
