Rumor on a Tulane message board is that LSU is canceling the baseball series with Tulane. Anyone know if there’s any truth to this?

We should keep playing Tulane twice a year, IMO.

Tulane baseball used to be the only relevant sport there. Now they aren’t relevant in anything.

There’s no need for LSU to play Tulane in anything anymore. It’s a dead rivalry.

Tulane v LSU weekend series uptown sounds legit. I would attend then hit up the boot afterwards to party with Tulane kids.

We should never play them. Remember toolame raised ticket prices when we played them at Zephyer and we had to pay $10 to park? Also, you had to join the toolame athletic club in order to buy tickets for the 2001 super regional.
There is absolutely no reason to help them by playing them. They use us to fund their pathetic athletic dept. When we play them now in New Orleans, it is by far the largest crowd of their year with at least half of the crowd being LSU fans.

Need to drop the Tulane series and schedule a neutral site game in Biloxi at the Shuckers stadium or Pensacola at the stadium on the bay

The Zephyrs got all the money for the parking, so be mad at the Zephyrs ownership

They need to drop the SWAC opponents, talk about a RPI killer.

I think PM saw how the RPI impacted them last year and doesn't want to deal with that anymore.

Yeah, great idea, waste an away weekend series on a school that's within driving distance.

There's a lot of LSU faithful in the GNO area that would love this

The only way LSU should play an entire weekend in New Orleans is if it's an invitational with 3 cold weather teams looking to come south for games, at Zephyr.

I am not necessarily against playing Tulane in baseball. What pisses me off is that when the game is in New Orleans the tickets are not made available to LSU fans. We should play them once in Baton Rouge and once at the Shrine on Airline. Or as a compromise we could play a three game pre SEC series on Airline.

Tulane isn’t going to be interested in playing games at Zephyr field. They built a new stadium for a reason

Baseball fans for LSU have been calling for this for a few years now. When normal conference games at Tulane are $5 a ticket, but they jack it up to $50 a ticket for LSU fans... it kinda rubs them the wrong way.
