I was told by a Bama fanatic that Tua's dad was given a $150k job at the car plant. I believe it is a Mercedes Benz plant? Anyway, Mr. Bama was very proud of how they got their elite QB from Hawaii.

I'm guessing it's more than that. Tua said his father chose Bama for him, he makes all the decisions. Recruiting Tua was actually just recruiting his father. You think someone is going to be that ingrained in their child's life then just let them move thousands of miles away for college?

To be fair, he’s worth more than your standard Dodge Charger.

Serious question. Sorry if I should know this but how is Tua from Hawaii but his little bro plays high school ball in Alabama?

I'll hang up and listen.

This may be a bit of astronomical news, so you may want to sit down before reading this next part...

There is a thing nowadays called "moving". It's where you (and your family if you have one) can relocate from the place you live now, to a new house in a different location. You can move down the street, across town, across state, across the country...hell, you could even move to another country on the other side of the globe!

hate Bama as much as the next guy but some of you are unbelievably retarded. Do you realize the cost of housing/living in Hawaii? If they sold a freaking shanty they would have enough money to buy a reasonable house in Al.

I don't know their financial condition, whether they rented or owned a house while living in Hawaii or what the family did for income. But to uproot and move your family half way around the world is a not somthing most people can afford. It's suspicious to say the least, not that every other school in the SEC hasnt done something similar or would have dont the same given the chance.

from Hawaii to Alabama

Culture shock. Different climate, different accent, different foods, different history and traditions.

The only things the states have in common are a seacoast, and Democratic senators.

Alabama bought them a house, car, furniture, schollys, you name it. Family is set for life. I think D Moses was upset he only got a Charger and a McRib sandwich.

That’s right. According to Tua, the father beats his kid when he makes mistakes/ints in games. Why didn’t this create some kind of media firestorm?

Must be nice to be able to just pick up and move from Hawaii to Alabama. I guess his job skill set is very mobile.

If you think this isn't common, you don't know high level recruiting. Don't shake that Bush. The beehive might fall into your window. Lol

Wow. Where have you been since tua signed with Bama a couple years ago? His whole family moved to right outside of Birmingham when tua went to bama. It's kinda shady isn't it? For a family to just up and move from Hawaii to fricking alabama because their son is playing there? That's the type of shite that needs to be investigated bc I guarantee you that there was some kind of financial help/incentives given to that family for tua signing there and moving their entire family thousands of miles just bc their son is playing ball for the tide. That's the kinda shite that only happens at alabama. Yet, it's disregarded as nothing more than a family decision. bullshite.

Agree with this lemme see Hawaii or the buttcrack of earth because my son chose or was bribed to go play ball at bama instead of his life long dream of Oregon. Didnt reggie bush have to return his Heisman for the same shite of his family receiving special benefits.

Same way several of LSU's prime recruits find employment in or near Baton Rouge and move there. Several factors are in play. LSU badly wants the athlete on their squad. The parents badly want to see junior play. The parents could use a better job.

But of course you already knew that. Division one universities have employers near the campus willing to consider employment for out of area parents. From sea to shining sea. What you are doing is stirring shite with what we call DRY SNITCHING. Faking ignorance and pretending you are asking a legit question. Contact the National Collegiate Athletic Association and express to them that you don't like LSU's, Alabama's, Georgia's, Auburn's, Oklahoma's and Texas' recruiting as allowed by their org if you disagree. I'm sure you will accomplish a lot.
