REC loaded their stuff on a boat, bought them a house, and found them employment in Alabama.

Must be nice to be able to just pick up and move from Hawaii to Alabama.

Yeah, Alabama is absolutely gorgeous this time of year.

That's the type of shite that needs to be investigated bc I guarantee you that there was some kind of financial help/incentives given to that family for tua signing there and moving their entire family thousands of miles just bc their son is playing ball for the tide. That's the kinda shite that only happens at alabama

I hate Bama as much as the next guy but some of you are unbelievably retarded. Do you realize the cost of housing/living in Hawaii? If they sold a freaking shanty they would have enough money to buy a reasonable house in Al.

I believe the Parents live in the Hoover area, around Birmingham, not Tuscaloosa. Although, Tuscaloosa is an easy 45-60 min drive from Hoover.

It's not exactly cheap to live and raise a family in Hawaii. I'm betting his family had no problem affording housing in Alabama

Especially when your father is part of a drug cartel. Oooops. Did I say that out loud?

Post will be deleted but it true.

Serious question. Sorry if I should know this but how is Tua from Hawaii but his little bro plays high school ball in Alabama?

I'll hang up and listen

Simple answer: Saban bought the family a home in Alabama. The family moved from Hawaii to a free home in Alabama.

Do you really think LSU has never had a player from out of state who’s parents moved to Louisiana while they were playing for LSU? I bet it happens damn near every year.

And I bet what happens equally as often, if not more often, is player’s parents that can afford it will buy condos or second homes in Baton Rouge. Maybe there’s some improper benefits, or maybe these players’ families have the means to afford it, but to act as if this type of thing only happens at Alabama is laughable.

Houses and vehicles in Alabama for family members of potential/current Alabama players come pretty cheap in Alabama. It must be a heck of a deal. I’ve heard of people tell me “my dream would be to pack up and move to Hawaii” never heard anybody want to pack up and move from Hawaii to Tuscaloosa

I guess his job skill set is very mobile.

His most valuable skill is having a son named Tua Tagovailoa.

The parents moved when Tua signed with Bama so they could watch him.

Funny how it all worked out so well for them.

I get that it might be shady. Then again, if my kid was on track to sign a D1 scholly and I knew it as early as the beginning of his JR year in HS, I almost certainly could manage to relocate to the new state over the course of that time.

So, absent any information on the subject, I'm not going to just guess.

It goes both ways. Ben Simmons family moved from Australia to Baton Rouge. I'm betting that's a little bit further than hawaii to alabama.

Yea but why would you want to live in Tuscaloosa Alabama over Hawaii. They have a extremely close family and the father is superbly strict.

I think you answered your own question with your post.
