Trust level for Woodward to make the right call?

Do you feel as though Woodward will thoroughly vet each option, conduct proper interviews, and hire the guy he thinks is best suited for the position?
He’s never made a football hire at LSU. We can look to the past and the circumstances involved in his previous hires. They may factor here. They may not. I think he’s qualified to conduct the search and find the right guy for the job. If it’s not one of the guys I’ve liked, i know that he was more qualified to do this at lsu since Emmert was here.

Woodward will do fine. This is what he does best. I'd be shocked if he fricked this up.

dude hired Jimbo Fisher...I think he may know what he is doing.

I would rather his timing be more aggressive in the initial phase of the switchover.

There is no switchover this season.

If you're right can you imagine this place in 5,6, 7 weeks??

I meant During the season.
It will be bad here, but there is no switchover till the new Coach is hired. And he won’t be here till next season

Congrats on posting the exact same topic for the 190th time this week. Well done!

Phrasing may be a bit awkward here because I think you mean after the season, rather than next season. As most people associate the term next season with the beginning of play in the next football season.

I trust him more than joe alleva

My point is the “switchover” Isn’t happening till after the last game of the season.

I’d be way more surprised if he fricked it up than if he hit a home run.

The current hires he has made at LSU and previous hires at other schools have all been successful in there own capacity...There is no reason not to trust him. He surely hasnt anything to lose it

The guy hires good coaches, its what he does. I trust we will finally have a good coach next season.

Just his hire resume here alone speaks for itself. Pulled two coaches from top 5-15 programs (Mulkey and Johnson) and lured them here. That’s not including his past resume. Coaches want to work for Woodward

That was the EASIEST of his past hires. Jimbo was looking to leave FSU and A&M gave Woodward a $75 million guarantee to offer Jimbo. YOU could have made that hire.
The others were more impressive (so to speak)
Chris Petersen - great success at Boise. Turned down interest from other P5 programs for years before being lured to Washington
Buzz Williams - Solid at Marquette. Had gotten his Va Tech program to the level of a consistent contender in the ACC...leaves to take over an A&M job mired in apathy and unreached potential
Kim Mulkey - Had built a dominant, championship program at Baylor. There was NO objective reason to leave it to take over an average program with little interest.
Jay Johnson - Fresh of a CWS appearance at a program where he could win championships WITHOUT dealing with the insane expectations of the LSU fanbase. Yet, he's here.
So to answer the OP, Yes. I'm confident Woodward will be fully engaged in trying to make the right hire and this won't be the same as the lazy, petulant, Joe Alleva searches. Regardless of who LSU ultimately hires
