Lsu 31 Troy 23

Troy has a better defense than Syracuse but their offense isn't quite as good. They struggled with AKRON this past Saturday. I guess they were looking ahead to the Tigers.

Troy's athletes can compete with any team. Where they run short is OL and DL depth, sound familiar?

They smell blood in the water; I don't blame them. We heard from O against MSU that the players never really recovered from that TD that was called back early.
I cannot imagine a better way to start a game than we did against Syracuse than the near pick 6, and TD on the ensuing down. If that didn't get our players jacked and excited, what will? LSU did just enough to get that win this weekend, but it was far uglier and closer than anyone projected.
Don't think for one second Troy is going to come in and be content to play for their money and go home. If LSU keeps playing like this, we are primed for a major upset. We aren't immune to it.

If this was Troy of 2008, I would give the upset a good chance of happening. But they have struggled in every game this year.

All starts at the top and coach 0 is way over his head here

When a team comes in confident like this you can blow a big hole in that confidence quick. IMO teams have always been confident against LSU, this isn't new at all. Many teams came in knowing LSU played a slow type of game so they would try to keep momemtum on their side by moving fast, sometimes that works, sometimes it backfires.
This won't change until we get the right mix of depth, and tough personell on our team. LSU isn't full of guys with that additude at this time. Really sucks that we won't have Lawrence. Hopefully we have Alexander back at least. We have lots of issues with this team which will only be fixed with recruiting and time. I hope these DL and OL prospects can see their opportunity here and come.

Bless their hearts.

This is sad but it's what we've come to, at last. Welcome to the new LSU football. The end of the golden era but the return of the glory days.
We will have to hang on through the 4th to beat Troy. Without any offensive creativity to mask our deficiencies, our lines (particularly on offense) will get skull fricked yet again by far lesser talent.
I want LSU to win, but I wouldn't bet on it. It just really feels like the team overall sucks. Hopefully the staff can make adjustments to help this team to suck less. Recruits are watching...

They will be a VERY difficult opponent. They will be very good on defense and have an offensive game plan.
This game will be close and will require patience with the run game and Williams. Get used to it.

The Mississippi State Fans were perty out there and looked what happened. I don't think Troy is as good as Mississippi States but are good enough they should not be taken too lightly. Syracuse should not have been as close as they were either.

Yes, we beat Miss. St in Starkville. We beat Oklahoma State and #12 Mizzou at home. The first loss to LSU was a heartbreaker and the second one is still in your record books although hardly any LSU fans were actually there to witness the comeback. FYI-HC Neal Brown was OC back then.
We've played some tight games on the road...scored 48 on Tennessee four years ago and still lost. Lost to Georgia once by 10 after giving them the ball twice inside our own 10yd. Basically we have zero margin for error.
Our offense has been surprisingly flat, but our defense has held up pretty well. We never turn down a challenge which is why we love our little school. Heck our entire Athletic Department budget is only $25m. Tnats less than the LSU football budget.

I mean, I get people are frustrated, but you come across as a front running, bandwagon hopping child with statements like this
Go cheer for golden state, bama, the yankees, the patriots, etc....
What a douche
