They contained him, I think the score on their drive to re take the lead was just a product of a good play recognition by chambliss he saw Benefield bite on the run option and the gate was left wide open Benefield just lost containment if he stays outside that play don't happen. So saying we cannot contain a running QB is BS he beat us throwing the football

At one point Chambliss led our guys on a goose chase in the backfield for what seemed like 30 seconds.
We didnt contain him, he contained himself. Ole Miss fans dont realize how much they'll regress without that guy. Hes insane.

There were times when he had to run and he was forced to throw bad throws he threw a pick on one. Little shovel pass was just him being a great player, kind of like mahomes ad libbing. His second half when we actually pressured him was completely different than the first half and he did not run all over us and yes he would have had to run because Lacey was out

What was Chambliss' numbers on third down, specifically third and long. I know at one point he was like 8/8 for over 170 yards.
Think about that. That's third and long. That is when, as a top tier defensive coach, you are supposed to make the opposition crumble. Instead, our opponent's thrive and get huge chunk plays. Chambliss made Baker his bitch again, and this time Baker made it so easy for him. There were passes I could have made last night bc they had 2-3 guys wide open simply due to the cushion our DBs were providing at the snap."

I'm not worried about us containing a running QB I think we got the players, we played the soft zone because we were so nervous about his throwing ability not his running ability. They were trying to keep everything in front of them instead he picked them apart because he's a great quarterback

Chambliss is baker mayfield with a better arm. Ole Miss fans are so retarded for thinking that level of play is sustainable once he leaves

LSU seemed very content in taking away the running game and making Chambliss complete 7-8 10 yard passes in a row. I'm sure Baker and Lane thought if they limited the big plays, he would eventually force a pass or two and LSU would take advantage. Chambliss not only showed incredible poise and precision passing it but he also was more than happy taking what was given

it's going to be just like LSU losing Burrow. Or the Saints losing Brees.

There was a poor angle taken by Ty and Chambliss was able to beat him with speed due to the poor angle. But I don't have an issue with how we contained him I have an issue with the off coverage we deployed.

I wish he would’ve had 100 and scored fewer points because we stopped the pass at least somewhat.
