This is not how it's supposed to work.

In a court, sure, but if he's found not guilty, there's still the court of public opinion. Although it's very difficult to prove you didn't do something, he'll always be guilty to some people regardless. Maybe that's what he's talking about

The city named a day “Trey Holly Day”, so I highly doubt they’re out to get him. It’s not like they heard about a shooting near his house and said hey, I heard Trey was in town for the weekend, so let’s just put the blame on him.

I hope he’s clear of everything against him, but to make it sound like they’ve been looking for a way to bring him down is a bit much.

La'el Collins was never arrested or even a suspect.

The idea of Trey being arrested in his hometown for attempted murder and illegal use of a firearm with no evidence in a case of mistaken identity seems very unlikely, but let's hope for the best for his sake.

Probably not wise to go on IG and talk about an impending murder trial

Don't know why you're being downvoted. I'm sure he's talked to a lawyer. I'm also sure he was told, quite explicitly, NOT to do this exact thing.

Doesn't this look like a lawyer written statement to anyone else?

Both victims survived

Proving his innocence should be an easy process, if he’s innocent

Is there a more known individual in Farmerville his approximate age and build?

Surely they didn’t arrest 3 innocent perps.

Meh, you have to imagine they have witnesses placing him at the scene and ballistics.

My question though is why would he return to BR knowing he would be questioned?

Not by a “lawyer” who went to any law school or passed the bar.

Could also be a case of jealousy. People seeing how good you are doing and set you up to get fricked over. Thinking my life is going no were and his isn't either.

The TD article on the front page says one of the charges is 2nd degree murder. Do they know if someone died?

The TD staffer that wrote that messed up. It’s attempted murder he’s being charged with

How is this not how it's supposed to work? Innocent until proven guilty. It's the entire basis of our judicial system and a basic foundation principle of our republic. How is this not how it's supposed to work?

ETA: I misread your post. We're actually in agreement.

You mean they didn't have probable cause, witnesses and evidence so they just jumped to conclusions?
