I agree, I also think they will give the ACC two for some reason.

You’re getting downvoted, but Auburn being a Top 4 seed can only be justified by reliance on one metric- RPI. And if that’s what the committee is valuing most, LSU could be in trouble for getting a top 8.

Regardless of what we get a sec team going 17-13 and 1 and done in the tournament and getting a top four seed is stupid.

These four were top 5 in RPI. Only missing . This tells me the committee is heavily looking at RPI. LSU is currently 10th in RPI. They won't pass up Coastal Carolina. I don't see more than 5 SEC schools getting top 8. That leaves only 1 more. Georgia is #2. They need a West Coast team, ACC, and Coastal Carolina.

This was the whole point that Hunt was making the other week. People were throwing around the word “lock” too easily. The committee looks at it differently than most of us do.

LSU is ranked #1 in the country and somehow we don't get a top 4 seed?? I know they look at other factors but still, college baseball rankings and metrics are so strange to me. Doesn't make much sense.

How does us not being a top 4 seed support that we weren't/aren't a lock for a top 8?
