We basically have 3 spots up for grabs in this scenario: LF, 3rd, and DH

I think Dugas, White, Stevenson, and Jobert battle it out.

Personally i think Joberts lack of consistency makes him the odd man out and that Jay already promised Dugas a spot in the field to come back.

3rd....Dugas
LF..... Stevenson
DH.....White

Isn't this option a huge relief from what it could have been?

Stevenson did not look good this year. Without a huge jump no way he plays over Jobert. They are on 2 different levels currently

Berry wasn’t a bad 3rd baseman. He was a bad outfielder and was bad at 3rd when he was playing one or the other.

When he was the everyday 3rd baseman he was much much better

The reason dugas will come back has more to do with his draft stock being next to nothing. He had a down year and has to come back to redeem himself or at least just play and play healthy .

Some players do actually improve from their freshman season, you know.

Did you see how many balls Tre dug out of the dirt this season? Dude has the best damn glove in the NCAA. Any coach that pulls him off of 1st doesn't deserve to be coaching.

Crews at catcher would clear up CF for Morgan, 1B for White, and open up a spot for Carter Young at 2nd or 3rd.

If Ethan Frey makes it to campus, don’t sleep on him pushing for playing time at 1B.

Makes sense to put White at 3B then. If I'm Jay, I'm not moving Morgan from 1B, he's too valuable there.

I mean we are talking about 1st base here and not SS or C. Just saying.

I'll play the game with a little different viewpoint.

White - 3rd
Dugas - LF
Pearson - DH
Kling - RF

Now let the overflow of disagreement begin!

Morgan is terrible at 1st base, wake up.

This is a stretch. I do believe the rant overrates his receiving abilities but he is still really good at it. He does put himself in trouble from time to time and stretches too early. It allows him to have a better angle on picks but sometimes it puts him out of position for balls not directly at him.

He is a great defender when it comes to ball hit at him. He reads the ball off the bat really well. I believe he would make a good outfielder but I’m not sure in this roster that makes sense.
