LSU is already showing thin on a few positions, this class will probably get us to 2019 must it will be glaring by then.

And 2019 will all ride a lot on how this coming season goes

I am not very optimistic at the moment

Most of what he had on the roster was sub par. It will take him more than a couple of cycles to compete for championships. He needs offensive linemen, linebackers and depth at D line

He signed 5 OL, what was the correct number? That’s more than we signed by the way.

He signed 5 DL, what was the correct number?

He signed 2 LBs, a safety who is likely to grow into a LB, and is getting a 3 star LB to walk on. What was the correct number?

He also signed two QBs with a freshman and sophomore taking all of their snaps last year.

This class wasn't that bad, Tigers can still compete with the SEC outside of Alabama and UGA. However, the gap between Those two and the rest of the SEC is getting bigger.

I don't personally see one thing that signals a downward trend, but a bunch of things together that make me think Orgeron will be gone after next year or 2018. .

Let’s see if he can finally improve that record at UT. Recruiting not a huge problem over there

Two years ago, a lot of O haters didn't want Herman either. Or Jimbo.

He's going to have to do better than recruiting typical B12 skill players. I think next year Jimbo will have a better class than Herman

Hermans recruited a lot of receivers and D backs

Man I always forget DBs and WR aren’t football players. I mean it’s not like teams in the Big XII would have a need to play nickel or dime packages on defense. I also counted 5 OL and a TE 4 DL 2 LB and a 6’2 240 lb ATH. Since I’m not a Texas fan I really don’t know their needs but I’d take a coach that had a winning record after 3 straight losing seasons and a #3 Class over a top 15 Class zero CBs for a roster with 12 WR and 4 corners

In general, they don't worry about defense

Jimbo will own Herman in Texas next year

Look at Texas’ class. Nearly every highly rated guy is a skill position player. Not a recipe for success.

Do y'all even research before posting? What the hell does this even mean?

He beat out a shite ton of SEC teams for the guys he got.

He has a top 3 class. How the hell is that typical B12 skill players? Maybe we should've recruited typical B12 skill players

I agree with everything except there was no universe in which Herman was going to pass up the Texas job. LSU could have got an equally as effective coach, but Texas was THE job for Herman and Texas had the check book to match and even exceed anything LSU would offer.

Only reason LSU should have offered Herman was to make Texas spend more money. Either way Herman was never ever coming to LSU.

The rest of your post I agree with.

And that 2005 class was when Les got a super late start and only signed 13. So we really need to go back further to find our last NSD that flopped to this level

And only 8 we're committed when Les was hired.
