Barry Sanders.
I carried around a card of him in my wallet at all times well into my early 20's.
Right next to your condom?
Dude! Some things are best kept to yourself.

My first was Tyrann Mathieu...
Loved the way he busted on the scene out of nowhere at Tennessee's camp taking on Jarvis Landry
Loved the way he had a knack for big plays
Loved how he played with heart
Loved the underdog story
Loved watching him play, maybe my favorite of all time
Loved that he went from hero, to outcast, and onto redemption. His struggle was visceral, raw, and a great feel good story.
Loved how he donated to LSU and is still a huge spokesperson for our university, even after his adversity
That said, Ill take Joe Burrow leading my all star offense, and Mathieu on my all star defense

Kevin Faulk and Tyrann Mathieu
both guys made plays when we needed them too
Faulk vs. Houston in '96
Mathieu the whole 2011 season

Tyrann mathieu was my favorite I admired his physical play despite being undersized. He will always be one of my favorite tigers.
Yea I love me some Burrow....but Honey B shoulda won a Heisman in 2011. I got cherry eyes for both

He has been the toughest mother f'er on the field all season. A quarterback!
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a quarterback tackle a guy like he did after that Alabama defender intercepted his pass. Most don’t have the guts to do something like that!

I just told someone tonight that I’m going to have a hard time saying goodbye and will cry.

If you say so and I can tell you're really smart.
Yet you're still here. Thought you said you were leaving.

So who's the idiot? Me for cheering for my team or you getting your panties in a wad, having a tantrum and then purposely stays on the board you said you were leaving?
Yeah ok.

With what unit did you do your basic training?
Bravo 2/54 here.

Devin White won me over talking about Daisy Mae at SEC media days last year. Dude lit up when they started asking him questions about his horse.

I hate we don't have him another year. Great times for us. Gonna miss the fire and toughness he brings. I guess I'm too old to get emotionally attached to an athlete though. At least you didn't say "it moved" when he runs out on the field. I cringe Everytime I see that. Lol. Yes I'm old, 53.

Damnit girl, that less emotional and more visceral!

You are taking it a bit far, if someone is taking it to that point I agree but most definitely not where I was going with it.
CFB is a passionate sport and fans get attached to the players even though most will never be within 10 feet of them much less know them.
I think part of it is this generation finally having "that guy" to point at as their high point. Been a long time since LSU had a player that the entire country couldn't stop talking about... and he is a QB? Just Insane.
Sure HB had his run, but it ended bad. LF7 had the potential but couldn't beat Bama.
Joe came in with moderate expectations and slayed the dragon.

If any of you haven't watched That's Joe on YouTube, you should. Better yet, listen to the extended version on the Hey Fightin Podcast.
Joe is a competitor and a leader on a level that I don't think most college QBs even dream about.
If we don't win the national championship this year, it won't be due to any lack of preparation or effort on his part.

Hey I have all the respect and admiration for burrow. I think he is a great lsu qb, he has it all. I'm gonna miss the hell out of him on the field for LSU.
That said, I'm not emotionally attached, nor does my junk get hard over a male athlete. In the big scheme of life, it's just football. I'm passionate as hell about it, but there are a LOT more important things in life.
