I’m sure he’s a good kid in the sense of not getting into trouble and doing the right things off the field, but his pouting after he got pulled last year and his comments after getting first crack when Myles went down, and now this…kid needs to check himself. He’s nowhere near good enough to be cocky. He’s extremely raw and needs a lot of work.

How in the ever living frick does Bama have a spot for him? It’s bad enough they oversign, then they get transfers like To’o To’o in.

I don’t think TJ goes there but this is ridiculous

$100 says they process Ishmael Sopsher and take Finley.

Then Finley won't see the field either lol

Ish sophser transferred to USC a while ago. Plus that has no effect on number of recruiting spots

Playing against was a major factor in his decision. Sounds like Bama or Auburn.

Weird. Hes certainly not playing at Bama ahead of Bryce Young and while there's a better chance at Auburn, he's probably not passing Bo Nix either.

More specifically, he wanted to go to a school where if there was a QB ahead of him, was draft eligible this year. His problem with LSU was his competition was in the same class

He never once said whether he wanted to play against LSU or if he didn’t want to play against LSU. He just said that it played a major factor in his decision.

A bunch of jumping to conclusions in this thread

Smart play would be choosing a university that’s not going to have a loaded QB room every year. We had high draft pics this year from BYU and which ever Dakota State Trey Lance played for. You can get to the league from just about anywhere but Finley needs time, reps and confidence. Headed to the SEC is not the easiest path to do that. Hell, go sign with Terry Bowden and ULM. Well, maybe not there.

He might as well start researching another transfer destination if he picks Bama.

He is going to Southeastern. The desire to not play against his former team, and the desire to immediately play, will lead him there.

That is his best option.

If he selects Bama, that will br an indication his poor decision making continues.

Seems to me that if he chooses alabama, he has a good chance to beat every team they play and thus, a victory against LSU isn’t such a big deal but a loss against LSU will be a massive blow to his stature.

If, however, he goes to auburn, and auburn is auburn and they beat LSU, it’s fairly substantial. If he loses, he can blame it on .... well... auburn being auburn
