We all know Joe is a different kind of cat. He's not an attention whore, he defers to his teammates, and he wears SpongeBob socks. At the same time, he is supremely confident and has no problems telling people that.
Is he too quirky and overconfident? So far, his teammates seem to be willing to run through a brick wall for him. I think working as hard as he does earns him that respect.

Some of his interviews were... not quite smug, but kinda on the border of that.
Some of his passes looked to be into coverage, trusting that his WR would make the play regardless.
Now, that being said, it all worked out last year.

If Barber is going to say what he did, he at least needs to be able to explain it.

There is no over-confidence when you have the best college QB season of all time. He was confident before the season that they would score 40, 50 or 60 per game and he was right. And honestly, the offense felt even better than that.

Not only was he unable to explain his position, he deflected to our program post-Joe. That has nothing to do with Joe Burrow.
If I'm not mistaken, the last school to repeat was Bama in '11-'12. In '11 they were GIVEN a misguided mulligan. In '12, Bama was GIVEN an easy schedule relative to us (we played 4 top-10 teams in a row and went 2-2. Bama played 2 and went 1-1).
We may not repeat next season. But that has nothing to do with Joe or how great we were in '19.
