I thought he'd be good, but I didn't think he would be a Walter Payton Man of the Year and likely HOF.

No way I saw him playing a minute in the NBA much less 14 years.

Here's one I never thought would sniff and NFL contract but was drafted in the 7th round and played a few years. LSU wide receiver James Wright

Had to look and see who this was. Played in 13 games 2013-14 and didn't record a single stat, but made it to the league. Wow.

Al Woods has had one of the longest careers of any LSU player. Didn't see that coming. Love it, but didn't expect it.

Al still playing to beat Kareem Abdul Jabbar record of longevity lol...

Russel Shepherd
Russel Gage
Al Woods
Daneille Hunter (I expected him to make a career, just not be as dominant as he has been)

Russell Shepard is the answer!

#1 ATH in High School. Completely wasted by Les. Goes undrafted. Had a successful 7 year career in the league!

Al Woods. Isn’t he still playing or just retired. Had like a 13 year career after not doing too much at LSU

Different approach here

Justin Jefferson

We obviously knew how good he was

But he could have been our third best WR (injury to Marshall)

And became the best WR in the NFL

Didn't make an impact, but I thought Dillon Gordon getting NFL O Line playing time was pretty funny.

THIS

I remember him being the worst part of the Malleveto defense… guess it was the “system” not the player.

Pelini's system too. After seeing Danny become a solid player in the NFL made me never want to see Pelini at LSU again. Then somehow, someway, he came back and was worse than before.

The fifth corner on that 2010 team - Ron Brooks. When your fifth best corner is an NFL starter you are DBU. Amazing where we are now.
