Couldn't be less surprised by the fact that 2/3 of the new board will be covered in static ads/graphics.

I thought the championships were on the speakers last year. They must be putting Coke and Ochsner on each.

Actually won’t be surprised if both are Coke bottles.

8/6 update:

speakers are put into their designated positions. I'm going to assume that they'll cover them up with a mesh/perforated material that will feature SEC and National Championship Years

Thats an expensive upgrade to have horizonal lines going across the LSU on the new video board

Is this the new old bridge or the old old bridge? I am working on my vernacular for the newest bridge being built in 2050!

why is it the called the New Bridge and Old Bridge when they both have names? Is the Twin Spans called the new ones after being rebuilt from Katrina?

I see they moved the retired jerseys signs to upper south endzone. Good spot to put them at.

That does look very small. Will be hard to read
It's a Brand New Board, so why didn't they make it the biggest in the SEC?

It's smaller than Auburn's.....

Why must it be the biggest?

I personally don't think Tiger Stadium would look good with a screen bigger than AU's... There comes a point when it's just too big. Look at the massive support structure AU's requires. You want that covering what is arguably Tiger Stadium's best side?

It could be the biggest and the same people would still complain.

We are talking about people who pay good money to go to a game, to complain about the size of the TV screen that is in the stadium, and still will leave by half time to beat traffic and bc they can't go another second without eating bc their nachos were cold. Plus the bathrooms are too dirty for them to sit down to piss.

That Auburn board was ugly from the day they installed it. It's just way too big. I've been on the Auburn sideline for a couple games (humblebrag) and the players were completely distracted by the replays. It messes with the flow of the game.

You think constant adverts are bad now? Go to an Auburn game and get overwhelmed by Jimmy Rane selling 2x4's on a screen the size of downtown Opelika.

Yes I am old.

What I don’t get is they can put the ads & titles on the covers for the speakers as static signs. Why take up screen space for it?
