Just looked online and they are more than I paid for the 2019 NC Game! WTF
If we both keep winning, what will they jump to??

Remember though.
I paid $2800 for three nights in New Orleans and two tickets for the 2003 championship.

Too much money. There’s a thread on the more sports board about the toxic landscape of college football. One of the things mentioned is the asinine prices for tickets. It’s disgusting.

That’s the asking price. Maybe a ticket exchange would be a good thing to have here.
We used to have one either the Gridiron club.

There isn’t a ticket under $400 on StubHub. And that’s in the upper deck nosebleeds. Everything in the lower bowl was $1,000+.
Absolutely ridiculous. The Alabama game isn’t much better

We paid $2000 for 4 tickets in 2003. Then he got 2 in the lottery. Sold those, sold 1 of the four to a friend and went for face value. Good times. No hotel need my wife at the time and I lived there.

It's the main reason I don't want to get rid of my season tickets I've had for 25+ years.
I sold all of mine except Texas and Bama this year at my cost and knew we could only make a couple games. For me to buy two tickets in our section for Texas and Bama would run me about $3000 right now.
Sure, I could wait, not know where I would sit, hope for prices to come down but I'd rather just renew the season and sell most of them and that sucks for people who want their own season tickets.
But, more and more people started gobbling up season tickets for the sole purposes of resale and then use the profits to increase their priority and philanthropic ranking to then be able to get more tickets, post season tickets, etc.
I am not generally in favor of heavily regulated business practices between individuals but Europe got it right on this one

I just graduated college and had no money and a lot of student debt.
I told my brother that I was gonna have to dip into a 401(k) that I didn’t even have just to go cause I did not know we would ever do it again. But we did it three more times after that.
