You misinterpreted my comment… which was Lane has not won anything of significance with any of his other QBs… I ain’t arguing if the QB’s were decent

No one has ever won’t anything of significance at FAU or Ole Miss. Kiffin’s team is 1 win away from playing for a title.

I’ll repeat, don’t be dumb.

Kiffin’s team

No… Kiffin’s track record tells us he probably would have lost to Georgia

Lane wasn’t Verge’s choice… not saying Verge didn’t want Lane… but regardless of who the AD was Lane was coming…

Didn’t say he would or could… I stated that based on the Lane Kiffin we know as a head coach… he more than likely loses to Georgia in that game… a year ago everyone on here would have this same sentiment… hell 3 months ago all of us shared this opinion

Who in their right mind would choose Lubbock over BR?

BR is an absolute dump.

Lubbock isn’t great but it’s a college town that is growing.

The knock on Kiffin is that he has letdowns and loses games to lesser teams because of it. Nothing to do with a quarter final against UGA.

Texas Tech billionaire alum Cody Campbell has made it his mission to spend whatever it takes for TTU to win the NC next year. TTU has more NIL money for next year than BYU does right now.

Stop

Youre ignorant

Kiffin wasnt darkening the door with Fat Scott in charge

Verge called 1 guy, Saban. He considered it, then picked Lane. The deal was done fairly quickly, and Verge got the interim tag lifted when he came thru with the goods

I can't blame him. TT has money, the conference is weak and he can more easily pad his stats. They will probably be in the CFP next season as well, something less likely at LSU. Plus seeing all the players hitting the portal at LSU could scare guys off.
I wish we could've gotten him. I'd trust him over Leavitt. I don't want to roll the dice on Leavitt.

And yet DFW is the closest major city to Lubbock by far. Nothing is close to cities in west Texas, that doesn’t mean the culture isn’t nearly identical to his hometown. Do you really not get where I’m coming from there? Shreveport isn’t close to Baton Rouge but I’d live there all day long over Jackson MS or Mobile AL
