Both would win the Natty on this LSU team, Burrow on that Auburn team? Maybe not. Newton was the most dominant athlete I've ever seen play, dude legit carried that team and was dam near unstoppable.

Cam isn't competitive enough. He's more of a clown, goof off than a competitive person

I think its 1A 1B. Burrow was amazing never seen before. But I literally cant name you one other person off that Auburn team besides Nick Fairley. Cam had 50+ TDs combined it was very impressive. With all that being said....
Joe Burrow had the greatest college QB season ever lol

I was thinking about this the other day, Newton did bring a team that was garbage the year before and after to a national championship. He was just an unstoppable force on a mediocre team where as burrow was essentially tom brady in an unstoppable system with weapons at every position. I think there is an argument for either side really when we are talking about the best college football player ever. I would personally lean to our offense is the best ever and newton probably best individual athlete IMO.

Auburn should have lost 2-3 games that season

I think it’s pretty consensus that these are the two best QB seasons in modern history.

When there is nothing else close I don’t think it should be that disrespectful that there is a conversation.

If they try to start bringing in other QBs then it is worth debasing the conversation on its face.

Cam beat how many top 10 teams that year?
Auburn beat three teams who finished ranked in the Top Ten. ......#3 Oregon. #8 LSU. #10 Alabama.

LSU beat five teams who finished ranked. No one else has ever done that.

The Clemson defense would have ate Cam alive...

not a single player on that team besides Cam has ever had a rush or a reception in the NFL.

So many people don’t realize this. You can argue numbers all day, but Cam put that whole show on his back.

Jefferson & CEH alone will get picked in the top 50 in April.

I dont know about that, I remember thinking before the game LSU's defense would knock Cam out if he tried running it on us. OUr 10 defense was at least as good as Clemson's this year, we had NFL talent all over the place and he ran all over us. Bama had a really good D too that year and they couldn't stop him either. I think it is safe to say any college team would struggle to stop that guy.

Cole Cubelic played for Auburn. Big surprise he "leans" toward Cam Newton.

Cam Newton took an Auburn team that was about 20th to 30th in the country without him, and he went undefeated and won the national championship. Burrow will make a better pro,, but I can’t argue that Cam was not as good of a college QB. Just talking about winning, not statistics.

Cam seemed to be self centered where Burrow is just like CSE - humble and deflects credit. Joe's a way better leader.

Tim Tebow ought to be mentioned in this conversation, too

Knew without clicking its Cole Cubelic.

He’s wrong, plus a homer, but at least had some talking points about that lack of talent around Cam.

On one radio show, he kept going back and forth on it and actually acknowledged at the end that he might be wrong.

The only thing he out did Joe in was receiving more cash to play college football!

Except he didn’t. The defense carried that team. There were several games where Auburn barely scored 20 points.
