So why In the hell did lsu sign O to such a ridiculous contract in the first place even after having to buy grass eater perve out just 5 years ago. Who else wanted O? Does Lsu like to blow away money?

its too late for that now, they already legally agreed to terminate his contract and pay his full buyout as well as hire him back in another position.
the only thing that could change after the title IX investigation is his current status with the team under his new contract as whatever the hell he is now
unless the reports him being under of a new contract isnt correct

No chance anyone would be interested in going to a program that doesn't pay out the wazoo for a contract extension for a coach that just had the greatest season in the history of college football.
No coach would want to come here if we didn't pay him big bucks for that.
