It’s truly incredible, I’ve never seen a group of adults totally work themselves into a frenzy over a decision that is yet to be made.
The fear mongering here that Verge will hire Frank just because is crazy.

He might get a great coach. But it’s a lazy hire. There should’ve been a nationwide search but the good old boys want someone that says yes. Louisiana at its finest.

Verge was promoted that fast because he already has a coach secured, and its not Frank

So you think the boosters are going to be cool with hiring Orgeron 2.0 after agreeing to pay BK $53 million? Because the only way it happens is if the boosters are fully on board.

Do i think our boosters are dumb enough to talk themselves into thinking well we can keep Frank on a small deal, then take the money we had earmarked for a coach and put it into NIL/keep the staff together and make it work? Yes, I can see it.

Experiences tend to that to people
We're all hoping for the best, but kind of expecting to have a let down. Because that's happened many times before
We just want to be super excited about the future, the hire is huge! And that's why it's considered the best job available because it's so important to the entire state of LA.

You have to put the President, Chancellor and AD in place quickly to get the right coach. This is not the greatest year for finding a coach since so many schools are looking.

I thought the Saban smoke was mostly message board memes and fun, but people really believed it. Could have used that to protect the potential incoming coach from unnecessary distractions.

I guess this is irrelevant to me. There’s a handful of schools that would concern me if we were looking for coaches at the same time (Ohio State, Texas, maybe Alabama), but LSU is the premiere job in this cycle.
