Nuss had a terrible game. I wouldn't say he had a particularly good game vs Clemson either, it was fine given the competition.

But he had a terrible game vs La Tech. Not being able to run on the 3-3 stack and then them dropping 8 a lot really fricked with him

He stepped into the throw and had perfect mechanics. He just miscalculated and underthrew it by about 10 yards.

We all know he can make that throw. He just didn't.

I do, a lot of people are saying it's the offensive line, or Joe Sloan problems. That picture makes it blatantly obvious, that at least on that play it was a Garrett nussmeyer problem. He also sacked himself once. It was the worst game I think I've ever seen him play. If we would have had better play from him we would have dominated in a strong fashion in that game

LSU will lose multiple games this year because of Nuss if he plays like this again

Nuss was suspect in this game, no way around it. That pass set the tone unfortunately. Wide open and under threw it by 5 yards, and then abandoned the deep ball for most of the game

3 steps no way if you look at that play again he was almost 10 yards behind the defense! In that photo he is slowing down and the defense is catching up! Nuss probably wished he had that one back

It was a bad throw, QBs at all levels make them.

Get over it

I got the feeling basically nobody wanted to be playing this game on our side

The entire motto that was repeated the entire week was playing up to their opponent. Kelly repeated it multiple times in his press conference. So you're feeling is completely wrong here

His mechanics were good. But the throw was a wounded duck as soon as he let it go. Those don't fly very well. It happens sometimes. Glad it was against Tech.

Every coach says this about every game every year. Actually doing it is obviously a whole other issue.

The offense was obviously flat outside of Barrion Brown and Thomas. Even Anderson was loafing a bit on Saturday.

You know what made Saban a god tier coach? Games like this. While some in the fan base here are telling you to get over it, Saban would have been losing his mind. Because he knows what's coming down the line. Complacency man.... rat poison.

I mean, I do. I love Nuss but the one thing missing from his game is the deep ball and that one was awful.
I can't remember who, but one of the film guys on youtube (i think it was Carter Powerhour) said that he's noticed that when Nuss throws those deep sideline passes, he tends to throw them shorter and to the inside instead of farther and outside to the boundary.

I gotta believe he just spun it wrong. That ball was 10 yards off of where it should have been.
