Tigers by at least three scores. Auburn’s offense is bad enough to make our defense look average

They have held really good O's in relative check.

They have had 3 games vs P5 opponents. They have not thrown for 100 yards in any of those. I wonder if Hugh is going to throw the ball more on us than normal?

Auburn at Jordan Hare is a different animal than auburn on the road.

There is always some weird mojo at the barn.

LSU (with the exception of 2021) has not lost to Auburn at home since 1999.

Their QB hasn’t been good but we’ll make him look like a Heismann candidate. It will likely be a close game unless that 2nd half defense from Missouri shows up.
You can't make shite look like a heisman. I already did the numbers. Despite how bad LSU has been in pass defense, the best any QB has done to them compared to their second best game they've played, is 60 extra pass yards and 2 extra pass TDs. That was Jordan Travis. Dart had a game with 50 less pass yards but the same TDs. Jefferson had a similar pass game numbers wise but he had an int against us. Cook actually had the exact same pass yardage the game prior and had similar pass yards in 3 games this year, but LSU held him tied for his least amount of TDs and he had his worse QB rating vs us.

Versus all teams, Auburn averages 156 passing yards per game. Add in 50 yards, which only 2 QBs we went against had that much more than any other game than vs us, and give em 2 TD passes because only Jordan Travis had a terrible FCS game. Every other QB we have played have at least matched their pass TD total they had vs us, against another team. Meaning Auburn has had a 2 TD pass game as their top performance.

Give them their 205 rushing and 2 TDs rushing, their 156 passing + 50 yards extra against LSU's defense + their peak 2 TD passing on the year. That's 411 total yards and 4 TDs. I say they try a 2 point conversion at least once and don't get it. So they'll score 27 points, TOPS.

LSU has gone under 320 pass yards only once this year and that was last game when Daniels threw it only 21 times. Because of what Mizzu gave us, we ran much more early. Brock Bowers ate them up last game so they won't be able to guard Nabers and Thomas. If Jayden is good in his midsection (prior injury) to throw the ball, we'll probably throw a lot vs Auburn because their likely scheme is to run us down to keep our offense off the field. Beck was able to get 313 pass yards at 9.5 ypa. TAMU got 195 at 7.7. If TAMU had threw it 10 more times, they would have had 273 yards on 35 attempts. Using the fact that Daniels is better than both Johnson and Beck, and hasn't went under 10.6 in any game over the past 5 games (he was 9.4 vs FSU), I predict his ypa vs Auburn will be 10.5. Add in what has been an average of 33 pass attempts this season, and you get 346.5 pass yards. Throw in 50 rush yards for good measure.

If you have a good run game, you can run on Auburn too. I don't think people realize that Auburn's defense is propped up by playing trash teams. TAMU ran for 200 on them.

Behind Daniels 4 passing TDs and Diggs getting 2 with another 100+ rushing game, LSU wins 42-27.

every game we play will be uncomfortably close for the rest of this year, and all of next year. until the personnel issues are resolved, we’re going to be in heart attack inducing shootouts

Auburn has far and away the best defense LSU has faced, and they have had two weeks to prepare for this game. They have a renewed sense of confidence after playing Georgia so close, and they're looking at this game to completely start a new season for them, getting to a bowl game.

And they've seen LSU'S defense. That's enough to give any team confidence.

Yea you can throw all the stats at me saying Auburn offense is terrible and I don’t care it will be a close game into the forth imo.

LSU defense is just as bad as Auburns offense.

LSU offense should be a little better than Auburns defense.

LSU at home wins but close.

KLSU, maybe it's early (or late) for you, but I think you meant to reply to Dat. He's the one with the 17 hours of stats research.

The line is 12.5

Auburn played UGA at home...was UGA QB first away sec game...

I think lsu covers... as D is better against the run than passing

I think that's fair to say about the rest of our schedule

The past 3 games have shown- we can score on anyone, and everyone can score on us. I don't think there's a team on the schedule that can outscore us at home, but these games are going to be full of anxiety.

LSU defense will make him look like all SEC. LSU offense however will score 40+ and it'll be enough.

Well at least we got to “practice throwing the ball” in the 4th quarter of that game.

I would love to believe that we blow them out. Yes, our offense can and probably will score every time they have the ball. BUT our defense is terrible. Freeze is a great offensive mind, and this is a defense that was dumbfounded by FSU running a simple counter dive.

Agreed, gonna be close. I predict HF will scheme up a few wide open TD's for them. Gonna be another wild one.
