Thats a big "despite". Sometimes looks can be deceiving. They are not 10th in scoring and 8th in yards against FCS schools.

It will be close. But not because of Auburn’s defense. It will be because LSU is the worst defense Auburn will have faced all season.
They are coming off a bye and Freeze is a good play caller/play designer. LSU can’t figure out where to line up and where to be against basic plays. Freeze will have several that completely confuse them. Even a bad QB can hit a handful of those. Combine that with the fact LSU can’t tackle and it’s hard to see Auburn not getting at least 30 points. That ultimately may not be enough, but I don’t think LSU can shut down even a bad offense at this point.

I agree- uncomfortably, frustratingly close- like it was against Mizzou. Except maybe not quite as high scoring. Our defense will be an elixir for their offensive woes, you better believe it!

It could happen that way but I think Mizzou had a pretty good defense. Obviously Arkansas did as well. What I think is that we will not score 50 but 31 could be enough this time.

Auburn defense is pretty good, but offense does not have a QB to expose LSU secondary.
