1) Stingley takes a PR to the house.

This happens. Im betting right now that GA Southern will punt early and often. At least one will be returned all the way.

2) The defense will force 3 or more turnovers.

We are going to eat this triple option alive. It requires fast guys and optimized running. We have fast guys and a defense from the seventh circle of hell. Book it.

3) LSU holds GA Southern below 170 yards.

Yep. You know where this is going.

4) LSU shuts out GA Southern.

In my original prediction I spotted them 16 points. But i glanced over what they did last year and realized they wont be near as good this year. frick it.

None of that seems likely because I think they move the ball in garbage time.

We pass for over 300 yards and 4 TDS.

I can’t see us shutting them out. The read option is hard to stop

I predict 41-13 LSU

My god if a starting Olinemen goes down i'm gonna be like Coach O has built quality depth everywhere but there. This maybe the only thing keeping us from a great season.

My prediction is Trey Palmer has the first KO return (ETA for a TD) by a Tiger in Tiger Stadium since Eric Martin in 1981!

Yeah, GA Southern is going to move the ball. Their QB is a next level athlete, and our guys will have to leave no gaps to have any chance of shutting him down. Clemson struggled last year against them, and they were able to neutralize Bama. Different year, but getting LSU early could be a problem if they aren’t ready. I think we have the edge speed, and if we contain them, and then safeties Clean up the middle....Key will be if the Dline can take it to the next level, because I do feel like the edge and corner speed will make them target the inner line gaps...

1. Offensive line will give up a sack. The Rant will lose its mind. Fire Cregg right now!!

2. LSU will get a 3 score lead and go conservative. The Rant will lose its mind. Should’ve ran a flea flicker.

3. Joe Burrow with an incompletion. The Rant will lose its mind. Put in Brennan!!

4. Neck will not be played. The Rant will lose its mind. Fricking up tight people.

I’m ready for Saturday!!!

How many lines of bird shite does their QB snort before the game?

I need to know this before making a prediction.

ETA: rsbd beat me to it (and apparently OP too after my edit ).

May it be so, but I recall the defense last year giving up mucho yards on the ground to ‘lesser’ teams. I would not be surprised to see them give up a TD on the opening drive.

I like your narrative better.

It’ll be kind of a sloppy game. 38-14. After the first 3 and out, the complainers will say “OMG JOE BRADY WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY”

1 pick by the defense. 3 rushing TD’s by the offense.

I just want to see the passing game clicking. Hit the quick easy routes and make guys miss. That will set up the running game to pound them into submission.

All season long, with such diverse play makers, we just have to keep defenses on their heels so that we can impose our will. I don't care if it's pass first or run first, just be unpredictable and execute. A defense on their heels will be a huge benefit to our offensive line.

We are going to try to get lots of people into the game. So while we should win 50-0, I think they will score and I don't think we'll hang 50.

Clemson beat them 38-7 last year. To me, that's the measurement score.

31-7 is disappointing.
45-7 is a success.

For all the talk of depth on the front 7, combined with the opponent’s offense style, I hope for a shutout.
