9 Texas (Sept 21)
#7 Florida (Oct 12)
#9 Auburn (Oct 26)
#2 Alabama (Nov 9)
#4 Georgia (SEC Championship, Dec 7)
#4 Oklahoma (Peach Bowl, Dec 28)
#3 Clemson (National Championship, Jan 13, 2020)
Call me when Indiana plays this gauntlet and wins

Clemson’s 2019 defense gave up <150 yds passing or something like that. They gave up a TOTAL 203 that season and LSU put up 42, missed one and knelt on the 5.
That 2019 defense really turned it on once the SEC Championship and they got players back and were healthy.

If Venable the cheater wasn’t sign stealing in the 1st half, LSU may have scored 70 on them.

Not quite the same era. Things are a little more evenly spread out now. Talent is a little more dilute. However, they are making Oregon look like University of Oklahoma on the semifinal in 2019!

More star power with 2019 LSU, but it’s a fair comparison with record, Heisman, margin of victory, etc.

How soon they forget the goat Saban

IMO none of the NIL portal teams compete at the same level as the pre portal era teams. Time in the system with coaches, more team chemistry! I believe Indiana, Ole Miss, Miami and Oregon would get embarrassed by 2019 LSU, Ohio State or Clemson!

I feel like a broken record but lsu never trailed in the 4th Q that year. Given the SOS, that’s fricking ridonkulous

Somebody needs to clip that shite, so when some redneck from Alabamer tries to say the 2020 Tide was the best ever, they can play the audio of McElroy making the comparison to the 2019 LSU team.

Both QBs and O’Lines are effective….
The difference is that our talented WRs would win the one on ones. JJ and Jamar…and if you cover them you have CEH and Moss
And we had two NFL CB1s Stingley and Fulton to shut down their recievers
And Patrick Queen, Grant Delpit and K’Lavon Chaisson and the rest of the linemen on Defense.
Plus I dont’t think they are able to put pressure on Burrow with our Joe Moore winning o”line with future NFL stars in Cush, Ingram, Turner, Deculus, Lewis and Charles

No. Saban always had a slip up game they’d lose

IU beat
Illinois (9)
Oregon (3)
Ohio State (1)
A bad Alabama team (9)
And Oregon again(5)
LSU beat
Texas (9)
UF (7)
Auburn (9)
Bama (3)
UGA (4)
Oklahoma (4)
Clemson (3)
It. Is not. Close. Even if they beat Miami.
A 3 loss Alabama is not 2019 Alabama. That may have been Bama’s best team ever and I’m not exaggerating.

Indiana will almost certainly BOATRACE #10 Miami in the championship

2020 was Bama's best team-- many sportswriters have called 2020 Bama the king of the hill, top of the heap, A #1 among all time college football powers.

Miami needs to kill Indiana to end all of this talk.
