I was bashing the whole "let the man make mistakes its his arse" attitude.

If O goes back to being over controlling and micromanaging like he was at Ole Miss, LSU will suffer.
We already suffered last year. 9-4 ISN'T GOOD.

It's still not a good idea to hire a guy that runs a different offense than you want to run, just the same as you did at your previous job. Then, make him run plays that aren't part of his offense just as you did at your previous job.

Sure, it was a home run hire, provided that he even wanted to fricking hire the guy, which he didn't. It had no chance to succeed.

He promised to hire the best coordinators, and let them do their jobs. LSU ran a offense last season that was drastically different from anything LSU has run in over a decade, and within the 4 first games, O's hands are all over it and it leads to significant problems.
I understand hires and other stuff don't work out but clearly he did not do his research with Canada. We all knew he has a history of being very anal about how his offense is run, etc.. Not defending Canada, I am sure he is an a-hole but thats besides the point, O did not do his HW on that hire. His only option was Kiffin who had no intentions of coming here, he wanted to be a head coach. As soon as that didn't fall through it went to hell in a hand basket.
So now LSU is in a position where it will be running a third offense in the last three seasons. Hopefully Steve E can make it work and we are successful, if thats not the case, no one is to blame but O himself on this

He didn't even attempt to do research on anybody else. He wanted Lane, didn't get him and instead of going outside of the box he goes after a "big name", and his other guy he really wanted was Ensminger. How could anybody consider that list good enough for LSU?
If LSU is mediocre over the next 2 years, Aranda needs to be hired with the quickness, or go after an offensive minded coach.

Those saying it is an actual quote, it wasn’t on either of the two videos on the front page tigerdroppings article. It may be a quote, but it’s from a different video from what I thought this post was referencing. I haven’t seen whatever this video is.
