Dude mashed this winter practice then got the start in the opener I believe and immediately hit the bench and was basically never seen of again. What an up and down there.

Committed to LSU after his freshman year at UHigh. Another case in which both the player and school would have benefited if waiting until fall of senior year to commit and sign. Hit .225 as a freshman, starting SS at a 3A school and LSU offers based on what? Athleticism? Safford is a good player, don't get me wrong. But, personally, I think he would thrive at a school outside of the SEC.

Matt moscona tried to hype this dude up every chance he could. There was even once a tweet where he said Safford HAS to be in the lineup. It was clear theriot was his trainer and Matt was pushing him for Theriot. The kid was horrible I wish him the best I’m sure he’s a great kid but he shouldn’t of ever been at lsu
