Or all 3 should have gotten a slap on the wrist. To say Wade was sloppy is not the full context. Self and K were sloppy too. We should still have Will Wade if Scotty had any balls. We all know they’re never firing K or Self. Scotty shite the bed on this one.

The most troubling aspect of the firing was how Woodward and Tate abandoned the players and stripped them of an NCAA tournament experience with the coach they loved.

The last remnants of the NCAA will be struck upon LSU Basketball. All the blowhards, whether on TD, media, etc. will grasp at this moment. And they got what they wanted.

LSU basketball fans are the true losers here.

Yep. Woodward played along to throw a bone out to his FIL at the expense of LSU.

All of the head coaches caught in the FBI sting should have been fired from the start.

This guilty until proven innocent attitude would make tyrants proud.

Exactly. He chose thanksgiving dinner over going to bat for his team. He told the kids to F off. Firing Wade before the tournament was absolutely uncalled for. He lost me on that one. Woodward should be the next one fired. No chance to hire another coach at LSU. He has no balls for the hard stuff.

This really can’t be overlooked. To me it’s an example of Scotty W literally not giving a flying frick about basketball or the athletes that committed here to play.

The problem is two of those coaches have rings and multiple final 4 appearances under their belt. Wade overplayed his hand. He came to LSU thinking the brand would allow him to play the same game the big boys play. But he didn't consider the fact that LSU isn't a big boy in basketball. He knew we had the funds and the name but he didn't know we don't have the clout in his sport. It's actually a compliment to football and baseball. Think about this, OBJ handed players cash on national television and that was a big deal for a full week maybe. This has been a stain on the basketball team for years and will be for a few more and nobody actually saw Wade do anything. Most of our fans don't even know we lost scholarships in football. If the basketball team had the same level of respect as the football and baseball programs, this wouldn't be as big of a deal.

I agree to an extent. I just don't believe the theory that the basketball program has to be sacrificed for the football program to make the NCAA look like tough guys. Yes, sure the football program is the cash cow but the NCAA is willing to look the other way concerning the football program because it brings in so much money to the NCAA.

Most of these fools don’t know anything about the fbi sting. All they know is “I’m giving you a damn strong offer”.

They don’t know how corrupt the FBI was in this whole sordid, bs sham of an investigation into shoe companies using street agents.

This isn’t really in our hands

Did you read the allegations against Will Wade?

It seems like they have banks statements and text messages supporting the allegation that he bribed a girl to cover up paying a player at VCU.

That may not screw LSU but it screws Wade.

There is no direct evidence against Self or Coach K.

And of course they cheat but pretending the allegations (or complete lack there of) are the same is dumb.

It sucks but Wade is radioactive for a while. Anyone who doesn’t get that is not living on this planet.

Mark Emmert is not Woodward’s FIL. Woodward’s step son is married to Emmert’s daughter. You should at least get your facts straight if you are going to throw stones.

Woodward being a rant favorite is the only reason he got a pass for pussing out and firing Wade. Crazy thing is they consider him one of us since he is from Baton Rouge but didn’t give O the same respect considering he is Louisiana born also.
