That 'offer' could have been a starting job as a freshman, that he couldn't get at any other comparable school. Prove that that couldn't have been the 'offer'.
Woody caved, and I would be interested to know how the dynamic between him and his FIL played into this farce. I have a feeling it was much more than we know.

Will you geniuses ever understand that Will Wade was on tape and texted players and girlfriends of players about money? The other coaches didn’t do this. There isn’t a paper trail. He should have been fired in 2019.

He is on tape. But on tape about what? It's not what you think.
That was a former player's fiance'? How is this the NCAA's business? Could have been a personal matter between Wade's wife and the fiance'? People are just speculating on the nature of the extortion from the fiance'.
I'm telling you these NOAs were easy to defend but there was SO MUCH media narrative momentum against WW the last 5 years he could not overcome it. I mean you believe the Pat Forde, Pete Thamel and Dickie V. narrative.

Before I get over it and move on LOL....just need to say, they will never do anything to Duke, Kansas or Kentucky in basketball or Bama in football so get over it. They all cheat but now with NIL it no longer matters.

Exactly, so stop whining about how Woodward should have fought against it. The damage was done.
Wade amended his contract so he could be fired with cause if LSU received an NOA. That NOA arrived. Why drag out a messy fight with the NCAA that won't end well for Wade or LSU anyway?
It sucks, but hitting the reset button was the best decision for everybody. Otherwise the NCAA was going to keep lurking, and the media was going to continue their hit pieces.

Again, it's always convenient to give them this out. The press is very adept at pointing out inequities of the type you reference Re: minorities - in fact to the point where it's questionable whether or not their true inequity in some instances the press latches onto.
The exact opposite is going on here where the press is suppressing and protecting the big business or in this case the Blue bloods and scapegoating the non-blue bloods. I see your analogy and what you are trying to say, but it doesn't really fit up nicely and neatly.

Oh absolutely - The text backed by testimony implicate Self, I've seen the attempts to say otherwise - they are bogus.
And as far as Duke - I love the "their's no proof" arguments. Of course theirs proof. EVERYONE knows. Theirs just an unwillingness to take on the folks they would have to in order to do that.

It really is pathetic, everyone knows and no one talks about it. They bought his Mom a house they paid his Dad (or step dad) monthly payments, and on and on. It's all documented and there's a paper trail easy to prove if some lazy reporter like Forde with an ounce of courage took the time and had the gumption, but...…….
Just because they wash the money through shoe companies don't mean it can't be proven. The proof is actually out there already out there, low-lying fruit just like those reporters like.
