You underestimate just how much the media hates Mulkey. She was found guilty of wrongthink a few years back, and now 99% of every talking head on Earth hates her guts.

After listening to this I think I'm a Jason Whitlock fan—basic cliffs.
This wasn't a brawl at all and is overblown.
Dawn Staley is being disingenuous, didn't really apologize, and is not all class or really classy at all.
The corporate media has anointed Dawn Staley as the face of women's college basketball mostly because she is Black, a BLM supporter, and alphabet people friendly and probably gay but hasn't been public about it.
In reality, Kim Mulkey, should be the face of women's college basketball but as a heterosexual white woman she doesn't check the boxes.
Mulkey is simply being honest when she describes what went on.
Also agrees with Mulkey about the whole Griner situation and thinks that colored the media's opinion.
He does say he is biased toward Mulkey because he knows her but he is trying to be fair despite that.

Exactly. If Cardoso doesn't come in and shove Flau'jae nothing escalates. Both teams would have gotten a technical and the game would have moved on.
And there is no feud between the teams for goodness sakes. Players on each team are friends with some of the players on the opposite team. As usual the media overblows everything.

Actually if the SC player doesn’t come at Johnson during the TO then we aren’t having this conversation. But the media fails to mention that.
