When I was 15 I picked up a hitch hiker. When I got close to my house I said "I gotta let you off here" and he started trying to get me to take him further. When I wouldn't, he asked me for money they said "frick you" when I didn't give him any.
I learned a valuable lesson that day. I haven't picked up a single hitch hiker in the the following 30 years.
