I was at the game too. Everything seemed forced from the music and the light shows in between plays and during timeouts trying to get the crowd amped. It just seemed completely lame compared to death Valley or Tiger Stadium, even at as loud as I thought it was weak.

If you know the history Clemson was coined Death Valley first so it’s not an argument that Clemson can’t claim it as authentic. Obviously it only comes up when they play eachother.
Yeah I know the history.
It just felt like this
It never once came up with friends when talking about this game but seemed to be a big point of contention for Clemson fans. It was slipped in at least once an interaction.
Overall solid fanbase and good experience.

Scott Van Pelt drops the mic on this after the Bama game a few years ago. I would look up the article and post it, but I really want to sleep tonight. It’s not hard to find

They were pretty loud on television, but not our Tiger Stadium

I sat near the bottom of the lower bowl
The stadium was decently loud in the first half but you could hear a pin drop in the 2nd half… I get that we were stifling them but that game was within one score for the entire second half and you’d think they were down by 17+
Think of all the close Bama games in Death Valley where we were losing in a close game, the crowd was doing everything to will the team to a win. Clemson fans did not do that at all.
It’s not even a debate

That stadium is a shite hole! It’s not even close… Tiger Stadium is better in every single possible aspect!

Something LSU fans should take note of instead of arriving late and leaving early. And before you blame traffic, Clemson has traffic issues as well, we didn’t get back to our hotel until 2am
I was in the shitty seats(section TDK). And Clemson fans around me in row B were cussing their own fans for filing out with 2:30 left in the game.

You know how many songs were originally written by one person but not truly famous until another group performed them and made them their own?
This is sort of like that.

If you have to ask this multiple times in the thread then it’s settled. Tiger Stadium is loud - from the field, lower bowl, nosebleeds, or a half mile away.

I don’t really care about the Death Valley debate. Clemson has some cool traditions like running down the hill, and I can admit that. I feel like our Death Valley holds up great compared to anyone when we are playing a team with a heartbeat.

The Clemson fans who travel to BR next year will have a truly eye opening experience, that much I am sure of.
I’ve already started making piss balloons.

I was at the game and that was very unimpressive. Our party and everyone around us were talking the whole time and didn't have to yell to communicate. That is more telling than anything else. I thought it was a very quiet atmosphere.

I commented on a similar post. Let them have death valley. We have DEAF valley

This is like the DBU debate. LSU makes something popular and then other teams try to get some shine off of it. I'm just happy to be a fan of a team that other programs want to imitate. Illinois fans probably don't have many of these inane debates.

it was Deaf Valley when i was going to my first game in 84'. remember the big sign below the West pressboxes. i wish we would have kept it. unique. we shouldn't have to steal from anybody.
