Also LSU basketball isn’t LSU football. We aren’t landing a whale.

OK, if no WW, then get Scott Drew in and be done with it. (Kim will convince him to leave Baylor)

Tired of hearing about Wade is putting it mildly.

They took Roy Williams from Kansas after he had been there for 15 years.

Someone should tell him Roy Williams played ball at UNC.

For those tired of hearing about Will Wade, he is the only real potential coaching hire that would draw much needed immediate interest to the program.

If LSU waits until April 1st they're doing so because Wade has already given them his assurances that he's coming.

If Wade has given them assurances, that means he violated the terms of his NCS contract and thus the buyout won't be reduced and penalties may in fact be added.

LSU is taking a massive risk by putting all of their eggs in one basket and waiting til April 1 to save $2 million to potentially hire Will Wade. What if he decides to stay put? What is he decides to go to another big opening?

Then they keep McMahon another year. At this point it’s obvious the LSU coach for next season is either Matt McMahon or Will Wade. They will not terminate McMahon without the guarantee that Wade is coming.

UNC and LSU basketball in the same BOOK so to speak is laughable at best.

That hasn’t worked out too well for them since Roy Williams left

I think you're right about this.

Which begs the question: what coach that we have that informal agreement with would appreciate LSU providing him cover from the press by not firing this EPIC LOSER before the "silent agreement " coach has his buyout drop by 40% on April 1?

I'm sure the NCAA will get right on that. Those motherfluckers have been toothless for at least the last 15 years.

I just wish Patton Oswalt's retarded little sister had gotten that memo.

Wait like four or five days to save 2 million and if it doesn’t work out, go hire someone else.

It’s not that hard.
agreed, but why wait to get rid of MM? Fire him already and wait to announce Wade on April 1.

And if, for some reason, WW doesn't come here, the basketball world already knows we have an opening.

The truth is that Will Wade isn't an attractive coach for any elite major program. UNC, Kansas, Florida, etc. are not offering him the job.

No one loves our sweet juicy prince more than me, but I’ll admit there is no chance in hell UNC is considering Pear. Maybe if he never left LSU and built tOrchard into our vision.

I’m sure Iowa State got worried when Kiffin was taken off the board too

they should but that has never been North Carolina’s M.O. they hire one of their own who’s coached or played there.

Ever since Dean Smith, that's what they've done. Always hired inside the UNC family. But there's no obvious family option this time, like there was when they hired Roy Williams. So what will they do this time?

The NCAA doesn’t care one bit.

NC State does and they’ll sue to make LSU/Wade pay the whole buyout. And they’ll win.
