The Opportunity of a Lifetime for the ACC, Big 12 and SEC

These conferences can own the TV air waves. Their players will be nationwide household names and drafted higher. Their coaches and administrators will become legendary. Some of which will be in movies.
The behind the scenes money guys of these programs will get even wealthier as they broker this and dictate terms to starving TV networks and an American public.
The PAC 12 may never be back. The Big 10 will fall to number 4 and at best be playing catch up for 3 years. All they really have is Ohio St, like it is.
The Big Bad SEC has a chance to really be the Biggest, Baddest and the Boldest. The ACC and Big 12 can make a leap that would take 10 years, if they did everything perfectly. Can these 3 really let the Big 10 dictate an entire football season or anything else for that matter to them?
Unreal money awaits. Players, Fans, Coaches all want to play.
Figure it out! Every other sport is playing.
Where There's A Will, Theres A Way!
Carpe Diem.

Look if anyone is going to play it’s the SEC. The simple fact is these schools NEED the money their football team generates to stay afloat.

I actually agree with most of this. Instead of the 2 extra SEC cross division games, SEC should make an agreement with both the ACC and Big 12 where each SEC team plays one from each conference.
LSU already has Texas at home on the schedule ... it would be an awesome trip to go to FSU or Miami, or even one of the Virginia or NC schools.
I’m sure the SEC, Big 12 and ACC could put together some really intriguing match ups for those 2 extra cross conference games.

I understand where you're coming from, but the TV contracts are in place already. I don't suspect any of those figures will change because other conferences are sitting this year out. Now....during the next renewal....perhaps it may be a bargaining chip, but this all may be awash by then.

Sure you tell yourself that to make you feel better.

Don’t honor the contracts be an arse who cares screw the contracts
What are they going to do?
Sec plays on the terms dictated by the new contract each player is paid X amount and new TV deal
What is the NCAA going to do? Who cares it’s time to move ahead and this is the ideal opportunity

BEING THE BEST CONFERENCE WAS THE OPPORTUNITY OF YOUR LIFETIME! BUT I DON'T WANT YOUR LIFE!
- literally everyone except the SEC, ACC, and Big 12

Even though it’s true, I hope we don’t really look at it like that. It’s the right thing to do and absolutely the safest thing to do. Those that are cancelling are doing it to avoid conflict and take the wrong but easy way out.

I think the bigger opportunity is for the other 3 conferences...The AAC, C-USA, and Sun Belt are the ones who are going to get exposure like they have never had before.

Notre Dame will also greatly benefit from this. Essentially they are the only major team in the Midwest still planning to play this fall (other than Cincinnati and Pitt).
The Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State, and Penn State fans are furious that not only is their team not playing but Notre Dame..... of all teams...... are still playing!
I love it!!

Absolutely. The three conference commissioners should make a pact for OOC scheduling forming an essential super conference from which all future national champions will be selected.
