The O was really moving the ball in the first half. Nuss was slinging it.

I can’t believe they didn’t open it up even more in the second half. This O has another gear when we get the WRs at full strength.

You’ve somehow already overused this gif

well, our leader came on at halftime and said he wanted to establish the running game in the second half. He did his best to do so...passing game be damn.

Coaches went conservative with 2nd half play calling.
You play to win the game, not to keep from losing it.

Then abandoned it when he needed to run time off the board on the last drive…

Well, honestly, that’s a difficult point to argue with. I’m hearing crickets though.

I don’t think whoever made this gif expected it to be used by LSU fans lol

I knew we were fricked when BK said we were gonna run the ball more at half

Reminded me of when Charles Scott tore up Kentucky in the first half and then Les quit giving him the ball in the second half.

Abandoned it well before the last drive…

Nuss had his chances in the second half. He chose to throw ducks while falling backwards.

No, he didn't.

And Lynn stacked the box with 8 players. It’s almost like he listened to the halftime interview. You never should call a run play when it’s 6 vs 8 on the line!
That’s some Les Miles shite.

This is what irritated me the most. We could’ve scored 40+ but decided to try and get out of there with 20.
Who cares if they score 30 if you score 40.

We forced this against a stacked box, and that was the game

Yes they did, we had about 10 less passes in the second half, despite having two more possessions. When we did throw, it was in predictable situations after they kept trying to run the ball up the middle on first down.

I remember Dan Mullen saying at halftime that both teams were playing somewhat of a prevent defense and then tidying up in the red zone
So I’m a little bit worried about our passing game in the sense that teams that really play up on the receivers playing more Man and have great corners and safety how well we’re going to pass?.
USC was playing like 12 yards off.
It was pretty easy for Nuss

If they scored 30, that’s on your defense, not your offense.

That's some bs right there. He was put in a totally different rhythm in the second half as compared to the first. Much more predictable. Did he make a bad pass or two? Who doesn't? This was his first regular season start ever, in a prime time game with the entire college football nation watching...and he completed roughly 75% of his passes for 300+ yards. Had we kept the same offensive philosophy as the first half, he likely throws for closer to 400 yards and we win the game. But, BK wanted (and stated at half time) that he wanted to run the ball more in the second half. BK was smarter than everyone else who may have thought, now why would you want to get away from what was working to something you are hoping will work. Turns out he is much like Les Miles. I'll never forget Les saying in regards to Alabama, that "we want to attack their strength"......people were like, wtf...most good coaches attack a weakness. That's exactly what BK did, and you see how it worked out for us. He still collected his $800K plus for that shite show in the second half offensively.
