The mound looked solid last night against McNeese

Money actually looked good the first two innings. He was keeping it low and hitting his spots, and breaking ball was working really well. The third inning I have some mixed feelings about because even though he was getting hit around a little bit, there were some plays that shouldve been made to prevent those runs. I also liked what I saw from Herring, Guidry, and Hurd. Hurd looks good in that closing role. He's got some good stuff.

Agreed. Pitching was pretty good last night. For the most part we were able to throw strikes, even though the ump was squeezing.

Half of their hits wouldn’t have ordinarily been hits, but due to Johnson’s inexplicable shifting, they were. Additionally, nothing at all was hard hit.

The fielding was shitty and our hitting outside of White and a few other at bats was atrocious.

My biggest concern from the game is that 1-3 in our order has become a black hole.

The name of the game with Hurd is consistency. You just never know what you're going to get from him. He either looks like a potential Friday night starter or he can't get anybody out. I still think he is the key to our post-season success.

We have no long reliever. We don’t have that guy that can come in and give you 3-4 solid innings. We have guys that may or may not be good for an inning or 2 at most before they lose focus and completely fall apart. You got 2 starters. One that’s inhuman and one that’s human.

This team needs the bats to be red hot to really have a chance in the postseason.

Their RPI is 118. I understand what you’re trying to say but our pitchers should dominate a team on the level of Mcneese. They start doing that against sec talent angain and I’ll start feeling better.

Crews had 2 hard hit grounders and both should have been hits (one may have been I’m not sure what the official ruling was)

That’s a scorekeeper decision away from being his second game in a row with multiple hits.

The same three hitters that were 6-15 with 6 runs scored on Sunday?

I was just glad they were throwing strikes.
McNeese got hot but that’s not the norm.

Throw. Strikes.

Crews pounded two balls in the dirt and beat one of them out for an infield hit. They were not "hard hit" grounders. Same way he got on base against State. He's still not making solid contact with the baseball right now

Mcneese left 16 baserunners on. Could’ve been much worse. Granted the defense didn’t help them much with 4 errors

Their defense looked better than ours. Our defense this year took a bit of a spiral.

Money has a 2 inning window. Same with Guidry as long as he can throw the slider in the strike zone when needed.

Herring and Hurd need to get 1st pitch for strike or they press.

Sunday is only one day. Dugas has been struggling since his injury and Morgan has been in a bit of a slump over the last few games. Crews is a big concern. Yes, he had 3 hits on Sunday. None were barreled up. Two of those he just hit where no one was and the third was an infield single. He is simply not making good contact right now.

The problem is that these guys aren’t getting on base for White. White is consistently coming up to bat with no one on base and he is hitting out of his mind right now with bases empty. He gets on and then Beloso has a hard time moving White.

I get that we scored a lot of runs on Sunday, but zero in the last five innings.

I think we do he just holds these pitchers to pitch counts. I think we're going to see someone step up in the post season.

This. When pitchers really need support our defense has let them down on more occasions than not. Pitching is still in tough shape, but a dropped fly ball or a routine grounder that is bobbled has opened the dam that lead to an L in too many cases.

Crews isn’t a concern . Sunday and Tuesday he had warning track balls hit and he still gets on base. He will be fine
