re: Anderson or Eyanson vs Arky?
Posted by Grizzlybear_23 on 6/10/25 at 9:03 am to JPLSU1981
Anthony is one of the most consistent pitchers right now but as of today, Kade Anderson is second in the nation with 163 strikeouts compared to Eyanson’s 135. Charles Schwab field is a pitchers park. I think you give the ball to Kade. When he is on, he can bring more to the table with his 4 pitch selection. Anthony relies heavy on his curveball and did well the first go round against Arkansas but I'm nervous that Arkansas will be more prepared on that curveball.
I'm lost without LSU Baseball

I'm gonna miss this team :wah:
re: How did the Pitching dramatically improve so quickly?

Yea, I agree with the SEC strike zone going away but it actually benefited us. It taught us to aim small and miss small so whenever we got to Omaha the kids were having a field day

With these atrocious umpires, yes, absolutely. I would also do a parlay with Stanford and LSU. Both are underdogs.

re: Optimistic Tiger but LSU is going to have to prove something tonight.
Posted by Grizzlybear_23 on 6/19/23 at 10:09 am to Traceg03
We have nothing to prove. We've played the best of the best all year and we are consistently beating those teams. It's going to be a good game but don't be surprised if we come out on top. The key is Ty Floyd. We know what he can do. He just needs to settle in and locate his pitches better but with the umps ive been seeing, he should be able to get away with some calls. Tigers by 3

Are you not entertained?

Pitching is coming around. Gotta play better defense against these small ball schools.
Did Crews get robbed from getting the Collegiate Baseball National Player of the Year?
Posted by Grizzlybear_23 on 6/1/23 at 9:08 am
Can't go wrong with either or. Skenes just has been so consistent and dominant throughout the year.
re: Would you gamble and start Hurd on Friday?

Yea I like the idea. I just like to get ahead and not trail the whole tournament. Ge the dub while you can
Would you gamble and start Hurd on Friday?
Posted by Grizzlybear_23 on 5/30/23 at 1:07 pm
Definitely do not want to burn Skenes on Friday against 40L Tulane. I would gamble and start Hurd while he's hot that way you have Floyd and Skenes for the next 2 games.
Do you designate Hurd as the Sunday guy or do keep him in the pen?
Posted by Grizzlybear_23 on 5/24/23 at 1:29 pm
you can't go wrong with either/or, but I would say the only con about Coleman getting the nod for Sunday is his pitch count restriction.
re: We pitched through adversity last night

Pitching in those tough situations only makes you better. Our Pitching Staff learning to pitch through hard times is the best thing we can do right now in my opinion.
We pitched through adversity last night

Taking my LSU hat off for this one. He missed so many calls for Skenes, Riley, and Hurd but Georgia can throw a 12-6 curveball in the dirt or at the head for a strike. He started giving us some calls back in the end but SOB man. That last strike out Crews had wasn't close to being strike.
Score Prediction: 10-3 Tigahs
Posted by Grizzlybear_23 on 5/18/23 at 5:01 pm
Skenes is going to have 12 strikeouts in 7 IP. Crews comes out of the slump and goes 3-4 with a homer. Tanks hits a homer. Geaux Tigahs
re: What’s our best hitting lineup now?

Jobert cant catch a beach ball if his life depended on it. I'd put Kling in RF over Jobert.
re: The mound looked solid last night against McNeese

I think we do he just holds these pitchers to pitch counts. I think we're going to see someone step up in the post season.

yea who's 32-19
The mound looked solid last night against McNeese

Money actually looked good the first two innings. He was keeping it low and hitting his spots, and breaking ball was working really well. The third inning I have some mixed feelings about because even though he was getting hit around a little bit, there were some plays that shouldve been made to prevent those runs. I also liked what I saw from Herring, Guidry, and Hurd. Hurd looks good in that closing role. He's got some good stuff.
