Even after a heartbreaking loss this past weekend it’s easy to see that LSU is actually a good team.
They have a lot of deficits to overcome, but with the talent and coaching we have in place a playoff run is certainly attainable.
Question is, can we overcome the adversity, lock in and come together as a team. Time will tell.

It's been very close to Vegas. Models like these and Vegas become their most accurate around week 5-6, then you see diminished returns after that.
The model also had Ole Miss scoring 31 points and everyone said there's no way that would happen. It hits and it misses - just like Vegas.

I wasn’t saying that as a bad thing. I always like seeing stuff like this. I just don’t take it as gospel like some people do.

I think LSU can be a real good team if a few things start clicking. Mainly SL calming down and not being spastic when it matters and our OL giving him 2 more seconds. We start scoring at will, our D stays energized and fresh and we put up points. It was a perfect storm for Ole Miss and they played their Super Bowl.

We were favored to beat Ole Miss, too. These lines are to get people to bet the games, people who watched the Ole Miss game or highlights, but aren’t as familiar with some of our issues as we are. And they are going to change every week.
I look at that schedule, and it looks WAY more daunting today than it did Friday. October is not as “catch-your-breath” easy as we expected it to be. @UK and MSU at home aren’t just roll your helmet out there and win games to me now. And I’m not shitting on our team at all, I just think our injuries are brutal and our lack of depth at certain positions has been exposed. We are gonna have to show up focused and play well every week. I think we “could” lose any game left on the schedule besides McNeese and Arkansas if we come out sloppy. Maybe that’s a good thing, though.

Your model has LSU favored by 12 against A&M? 3.5 more than Vegas. That's a lot of points for that spread.

Sure, no one should take my model, nor anyone else's model as gospel.
These models and Vegas do its best based on the available data - which isn't a lot. Plus, there are a lot of unknowns when it comes to sport - that's why we like it so much.
