The mismatches in place with Wright on the squad now are unreal

Wright will be your in-line TE, this allows kiffin to split Trey’Dez Green out wide a lot more, leaving him 1 on 1 with a CB who has a half a foot height disadvantage and 50 pound weight disadvantage. If teams refuse to get beat by green they have to move a safety over to help, once that happens, this leaves the middle of the field wide open for guys like Wright, Winnie Watkins, and Tre Wilson to absolutely feast.
It also will lighten up the box for Jones and Berry to put in work. Factor in the tempo and teams will have a nightmare constantly trying to adjust to these matchups. Kiffin proving once again why he is arguably the best offensive mind in CFB.

I love it! Every game I can see Game Day pitching is at the villains of college football and I’m here for it. We are like pirate badgers and use the rules as a sort of guidelines to get what we want and don’t give a shite what anyone says or thinks.

Zach grace was an elite blocker at Oregon. I’m sure you’ll also see some packages with 12 personnel featuring wright and Grace on the line and Green out wide

It unlocked Trey’Dez from having to play some inline to now becoming Calvin Johnson on the outside. This is going to be sick

A mobile quarterback will make an average line look great. Plus, a lot of the dead weight from last year’s dumpster fire is no longer on the team.

Trey’Dez was always gonna split out wide and play in the slot. He wasn’t gonna be putting his hand in the dirt blocking edge rushers whether we got/get Wright or not. Some, sure, but not very much. I don’t care how he’s listed in the program, he’s a WR.
Wright, however, is a HUGE upgrade, and will certainly make us more versatile. I don’t think we have anybody close that can both block and be a receiving weapon like him.
I don’t love it, though. But I ain’t apologizing for it either. If we didn’t get him, he’d have gone to Ole Miss. It’s as important to prevent them from getting better as it is to make us better.
