I was there last set of right field bleachers. The abuse that right fielder took from the hitters was wild. The abuse he took from us fans was borderline criminal. I bet he still has nightmares. It was hilarious watching the Ga.Tech coach losing his mind every time he came out to change pitchers.

Those highlights feel like watching a high school game today. College baseball has come a long way.

Was my first ever game to attend at the old box. Sat down RF line. Still think about it like it was yesterday.

I was there. One of my favorite games.

If a batter strikes out but advances on a passed ball does he get charged with a strikeout?
Strikeout, reached on an error. There have been many pitchers that have gotten credit for 4 strikeouts in an inning.
I remember listening to that game on the radio at home. For some reason I thought it was earlier in the 90s. That was the end of my freshman year at LSU and I was in BR for the CWS. 3 baseball NC in my 5 years.

Was there. Remember the crowd cheering for a GT pitcher when they finally got an out. Ouch

Love the CALENDAR’S RESTAURANT ad in the outfield.

I was there and was scheduled to work at Delchamps at a time much later than the game should have been
Had to go to the phone bank behind 3rd base stands they installed to say I would be late

My mom & stepdad were visiting my aunt in Krotz Springs, and LSU was batting when they left to come home. My family and I were using his pool, and I had a radio broadcasting the game. When they got home, my stepdad walked to the pool, and after a few seconds, asked incredulously, "LSU is STILL batting?"

I was at that game in the left field bleachers. LSU jumped out to a big lead, 10-0 after 4 innings, but when we reached the bottom of the 7th inning, it was 10-7. That 1/2 inning lasted about 45 minutes and I think Tech used 4 or 5 pitchers.

Wasn't there something with a train passing just when LSU came to bat? I just remember the train being mentioned when this happened.

Youtube suggested this 9th inning video versus Long Beach State from 1993. Was an awesome watch.
Sandy Bertman at 4:55 RIP. We all love you for your dedication.

Not possible. Warren Morris was the first and last out of the inning.
The box score shows Morris made the 1st and 2nd outs and Mike Koerner made the 3rd out.

Apologies in advance for Olbermann.

It is possible.Batter could reach base on dropped 3rd strike and it still counts has a strikeout
AI Overview
Learn more
a dropped third strike still counts as a strikeout for the pitcher. The batter can still advance to first base on a dropped third strike, but the pitcher is credited with a strikeout.
