The below average QB from Michigan has the highest odds.

He is actually fantastic and I’ve wondered why he gets so little attention. Elite decision making and accuracy. Great runner as well. Michigan has called off the dogs in many of their games. They can score at will with this QB.

If we beat Bama, he wins it…He would have to completely lay an edd vs UGA to lose it

What happens if Michigan beats Ohio State and Penn State and runs the table with their schedule? What happens if Washington (4 more ranked opponenents) runs a table? Both of those teams would’ve played better opponents than what Daniels would ever face this year, including Georgia. Take off your purple and gold glasses and face that the SEC is down is what will hurt him and not how he has played unless he lays another egg like he did bs FSU. That is what makes a difference.

rutgers defense is 8th in the country and he had a 97 QBR… fsu is 22 and Daniels had a 64. Then like you said he still has OSU and Penn state left.

Most of the changes that happened from the BCS till today through all the NIL and transfer rule bull shite all has an underlying "end the dominance of the SEC" mission.

This is the most accurate statement I have seen on here. First it was just "stop Bama" but since LSU (2019) and now UGA back to back, they are doing whatever they can to drive down the SEC and promote the other weak arse conferences.

Daniels had a 64 QBR against the only team he has faced with a top 50 defense - FSU who is 22. Like or not, that’s what people are looking at right now. He will have his chance in 2 weeks and again va TAMU.
In yards given up, Arkansas is 37th and Mizzou is 41st in Total Defense.

Digging into defensive efficiency (ESPN FPI); Auburn is 15th, Arkansas is 29th, Ole Miss is 30th (they've been decent outside of the LSU game), Mizzou is 38th, and Mississippi State is 48th.

Odds mean nothing other than Vegas trying to get even money.

A lot can happen in the next month and a half. Daniels is going to have his chance to win it or lose it.

Just like penix and McCarthy.

The odds are futures, it’s not who is ahead today. Daniels is clearly ahead but if they lose to Bama, he’s essentially done and Michigan has two huge games to end its season that McCarthy can shine in still. He hasn’t had to put up huge numbers to beat overmatched opponents yet.

He will not win. That’s called a good value bet for JD

I usually don't get worked up over this stuff but that is clinically insane

Daniels and McCarthy are not even in the same vicinity

Penix is not winning. Whens the last time the heisman winning QB had a goose egg in the TD column in a game?

Dang the media not only hates LSU now, they also have an active agenda against the entire SEC?

It must suck for your brain to be such mush that you immediately assume that anyone who recognizes the corporate strategy at play RE: NCAA vs. SEC is a conspiracy theorist. The NCAA and the rest of the P5 conferences around the country have huge financial incentives to try to stifle the perceived dominance of the SEC. Whether they’re actually succeeding or not is up for debate, but you’re an idiot if you don’t think that the NCAA was getting worried about being usurped by the SEC

Probably has been said multiple times in this thread already, but Vegas odds do not mean Heisman voters think JJ is better than Daniels.

Pretty much all sportswriters' Heisman lists currently have Daniels at the top based on how the season has played out, thus far.

Vegas odds are Vegas sportsbooks projecting who they think will win based upon how rest of season plays out. Oddsmakers are betting that JJ will have big games vs PSU and OSU on way to another Big 10 Title.

If LSU’s defense had just played at an average level against . . . old piss

Average? Hell, if our defense just plain sucked we'd have won that game going away. If our defense was anything short of one of the worst defensive performances in the history of LSU football, we win that game.

I think I've seen worse defenses at LSU, but never paired with such an amazing offense.

Fortunately, there has been (apparently) steady improvement since then (though Army really isn't much of a benchmark).

You read into odds way too much. Just because JJ is the favorite doesn’t make it a good bet.

JD5 is actually the smart bet right now being an underdog to win it given he has the best stats in the country and a win against Bama would make him the new favorite starting Nov. 5. Especially when you consider this article where everyone has JD5 listed as their Heisman favorite.

Someone mentioned DJ Ukulele as a sleeper. I and most laughed it off, but it's kind of tempting to throw away a bet all the way down at +15000.
