The veil of amateurism has been lifted. These are professionals now and none of the criticism ive seen of GN has been unfair or unwarranted.

How much good did Nuss actually do.

Yall have inflated him since the time he got here. He couldnt beat out TJ Finley and Max Johnson for a fkn reason.

Yall pick and choose players and kids to feel sorry about like nothing else.

He has 3 mill more than me this year so I don't feel sorry for him. He can enjoy his money while learning to become state trooper

He didn’t put the time in and effort to match the money he was being paid and it showed. His selfishness and ineffectiveness helped tank this season.

You’re using “hate” and criticism interchangeably. Be an adult.

He is getting paid millions to perform at a high level and he’s failed to do so this season. He absolutely should receive criticism when he’s proven to be capable of performing at that level before.

Whether it’s lack of effort and preparation, playing scared, etc. only him and the coaches truly know. Regardless he has not performed to expectations and there are plenty of examples proving it wasn’t just shitty play calling and oline.

what ever dude he sucks. entitled and lazy, you can see it on the sidelines. He is not a competitor. But he sure did love being "preseason heisman" or whatever.

Good luck getting us to feel bad for a guy that we are paying multi millions of dollars

Number 1. you are getting your information from Blake who is not getting the information from the players or staff. Number 2. he is still a young adult who is learning how to be an adult. You have no idea the work he "put in" or didn't put in.

And if you are taking this from the podcast with Gordy then you are being disingenuous with your comments. He said JD5 didn't watch more film then he did but he didn't need to get into the facility at 5 am. I have several employees who do not come into the office at 5-6am but show up at 8 am and work to 5-6 and are excellent in their work. I also have some that show up at 6 and leave right at 5 but are also very good at what they do. People have different work habits and mentalities but that doesn't mean they aren't "putting in" the work if they are doing it differently.

That same concept applies to Nuss he goes about his film study and preparation differently then JD5. But everyone takes it as he didn't put in the work and that is just not true. I am getting so sick of these threads. He had a bad season and has been struggling but the treatment he gets is sickening. Did he deserve to be benched? Yes. But for fricks sake the kid loved LSU and came back and look how hes being discussed. Why would any recruit or player want to comeback if that is the treatment they get if they don't live up to the hype. No one is more disappointed in their performance then they are.

i will admit to having a bias against fans who

- think they understand the game but don’t. They don’t even know they don’t.

- played a year of high school football so they think they know the game.

My allegiance is to the program and the players. I respect Nussmeir even though it’s time to make a move. We can argue the coaching moves that have been made about his this year.

Do i believe he loves LSU and wants to compete at high level. Yes, if he can’t compete that’s on the coaches to take it out. That’s why i’ll never criticize him for poor decisions or lack of certain skills.

Then again, it’s an LSU tradition to diss on the starting QB.

One of the worst QBs in LSU history. He does nothing well or even average.

He certainly is the most un athletic QB to ever play here.

What I hate is if he has misled or misinformed coaches on how bad his injury was. That to me is selfish and inexcusable at a certain point.

There wasn't any whining. There are actually a number of people who feel for Nuss despite your ignorant opinion. Careful not to confuse opinion for facts.

Agree, so called fans making fun of him for crying. What a damn shame. Have you not watch an Olympian pour their heart and soul into training to only fall short and cry like a baby. Same for many pro athletes, college, high school athletes. Hell, I cried when my little league team lost the "pennant title".

What does money have to do with feelings? So a person makes a lot of money and they're suddenly inhuman? They're not allowed to have feelings, show emotion etc. Having money isn't the cure all for everything. It makes you financially secure, but that's all.

I appreciate Nuss for sticking with LSU when he didn't have to. Some of you are critical about the transfer portal and players leaving for money and not being loyal to a program while you had a guy that chose to be loyal when he didnt have to be. I do feel bad for him for the sake of wanting to come back and win a championship and not have things work out the way you want. With that being said, because you're loyal doesn't mean you accept bad play. Nuss simply hasn't played well this season. Whether it's due to injury, lack or preparation during the season or work in the offseason, his play has dipped significantly. Now much of it has to do with the offensive line which is what it is at this point.

Throughout his career Nuss has shown flashes of great but struggles with reading defenses and often guesses instead of making quality reads. This usually improves when you make the conscious effort to get better. When you have a new core of WRs, you work with them in the offseason and build that relationship and timing with them. Work on how to read defenses better through VR or film. You have to put in the work to fix the holes in your game, and that's something I feel he didn't do for whatever reason. And for that reason, I'm ready to see a change. Nothing against the person, just the player.

This is the kind of mentality and lack of knowledge i’m talking about.

The so called worst QBs, much never saw the field or have been much less productive.

Call him average if you want but if you think he’s the worst you are either failing to see any positives about him because he is high on the list for passing yards. The other possibility is you haven’t seen many LSU QBs.

He’s not the worst and i’d like to see you argue that point with someone whose football knowledge you respect.

I don't hate him. I just think he's a below average QB - one who is not mobile and makes bad decisions.

Nuss didn't put in the work, plain and simple.

Guys like Mett, Burrow, and Daniels worked with their WRs most of the off-season. Daniels got up early and stayed late studying and training to be the best. NONE of these three were given 2+ million dollars to come back a final year. NONE of them were given an expensive car either. NONE of them got engaged and was distracted by their GF. .

Nuss didn't do what was necessary to improve, plain and simple. He regressed.

People always resort to say people are "hating" Nuss. You know damn well the truth is that people are just done with Nuss and ready to move on from him. The guy lead the worst offense LSU has had since 2014.

Agree - the kid has done his best. The line has sucked this year and last year the defense sucked. Support him and whoever is on the field the rest of the year. It's over and negativity at this point won't help anything.
